Aquabella Hôtel & Spa

The location of the hotel is very nice. Spa facilities are great. The outdoor pool was not open in December, though. The room is spacious and the breakfast is also very nice. The lobby area is very relaxing with books and various seating areas. Staffs are all very friendly and nice.

The only thing I do not like is the bathroom in the room. It was big and came with a bathtub. But the shower head holder was designed for 200cm above human beings and it was not possible to adjust the height. I ended up holding the shower head everyday I showered. The hairdryer in the room was a very old fashion one- the kind that attach to the wall and one has to push all the time to get it to work. These really need to be updated!!

Lovely room in the heart of Aix! We enjoyed the pool and spa while we were there. Great sauna, steam rooms, hot tub, and heated chairs accessible to guests. We'd just gotten married, so the relaxing atmosphere was much appreciated. The room size was perfect for us (we stayed in a comfort double room) and there are elevators, which is helpful for luggage and getting around. My sister-in-law was in a suite with a balcony and her room was also incredible! The staff was professional and helpful, and the hotel was immaculate. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We frequently visit Aix and know of other hotels. Aquabella is a great choice for anyone looking for total comfort, in terms of room size, elevator access, pool, etc.

It was another great stay at the Aquabella! II stayed in other hotels in Aix over the years for business and I have a clear preference for the Aquabella. The location is simply perfect so close to the center but still so private. The hotel has great facilities, beautiful surroundings, very nice restaurant with reasonnable prices. and easy access to the spa. The rooms are spacious, clean and the recent renovation made the hotel's lobby even more pleasant. The professionalism and availability of the staff is outstanding. Aurelie has been particularly helpful in organizing out stay! Thank you Aurelie. I highly recommend this hotel!

Nothing! It is a great hotel btw the king size beds are truely king size and very confortable!

Such a picturesque hotel near all the Aix action but away from the hustle and bustle. Location is perfect with 1 to 2 km walking distance access to much of the restaurants, shops & Cours Mirabeau. The facilities -- spa, restaurants and especially the pool is absolutely fantastic. Rooms are decent size, beds relatively comfortable, good design of bathroom -- with separate shower & toilet. Staff is ready to help when needed. I think I found my perfect "home" when in Aix En Provence!

Bathroom shower is not well designed. Difficult to maneuver one hand or even when shower is mounted.

This hotel was recommended by a friend and we were so glad to have followed up on her advise. We really loved the spa. The weather had just turned rainy and cold so we didn't use the pool, but it was lovely and inviting to look at. The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and had a desk and a small round table with a plant which made it feel homey. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Parking was almost on-site, very reasonably priced for Aix. Staff were friendly and efficient. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful property, great location.

Lack of communication for English speakers. For a property of this size and one that markets itself as a 5-star spa, communication in English was non-existent. Signage and printed materials related to the spa were 100% in French. The excellent restaurant did have English menus and waitstaff that understood and spoke a little English. But for anyone interested in spa hours, facilities, treatments, specials, etc communication in English is very poor.

The location was fabulous, with lots of lovely restaurants in close walking distance. The pool area was simply divine, perfect way to end the late afternoon after a day exploring the area. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the spa facilities as it closed quite early and opened late. Having secure parking was also a bonus, would recommend anyone to have a comfortable stay here! thank you Aquabella

The location was excellent, the room with a balcony was very nice and the pool was just what we needed on an unusually warm day for the time of year!

The air conditioning unit rattled in our room all the time. We asked for it to be fixed and they said they would fix it but hey did not. Also the shower had nowhere to set shampoo or soap so you had to put it in the floor. The shower water ran out all over the floor, very poorly designed shower.

Superb hotel, excellent location with lovely spa, clean and comfortable rooms. No children in spa or pool so could really relax and enjoy. my husband did an aqua class which he enjoyed and wax reasonably priced. Parking less than 5 min walk and paid for on a daily rate at the hotel so very easy. Breakfast was very good

minor, parking is first come basis, was full when we arrived but only had to wait a couple of minutes to get in

Loved this hotel with its spacious rooms, efficient air-conditioning , friendly helpful staff and its location on the edge of Aix . In Aix for family wedding at nearby Chateau - various family members in hire cars and new to the area had no problem locating us. Had some problems with couriered luggage but this was resolved quickly.

Hotel Restaurant was closed in the evenings for most of our stay , though a local French restaurant was booked on the first evening which was superb. Breakfast was average to poor - no cornflakes during our 6 night stay!!! Disappointed pool didnt open until 9am - I am a pre breakfast swimmer
