Hôtel Escaletto

The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and the temperature was just right. There was a blackout blind which helped with sleeping. Nice rooftop terrace.

We are vegan. The buffet breakfast was okay for vegans (there was almond milk) but I think it could be improved without compromising the offer to non-vegans and without too much cost. I know there is a vegan bakery in Aix, which could provide vegan croissants for example. Perhaps a pot of homemade baked beans could be provided alongside the egg dishes or instead of one of them. Labelling could be better just to provide reassurance on which items were vegan.

The room is so clean. Just the right size. From the bathroom to the room itself. I like the feeling of clean and comfortable bed. Location is perfect for us because its all walkable. There’s even 2 Laundromat nearby. Lots of restaurant and Pharmacy near the hotel. We are also Happy that there’s 24hours reception. They are all friendly and helpful. Especially to the lady who assisted us and communicate with our uber service.

Well during the time we stayed lots of Construction going on so that cant be help- that’s also the reason uber driver couldnt go to our pick up point (in front of hotel) due to road blockage. But that is only temporary - we still enjoyed our stay! Our room is perfect!

Delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. Room was reasonably large with good block-out blinds. It was an easy walk to the centre of town. Roof top space would have been nice at sunset in good weather. Our welcome was helpful and friendly when we checked in late at night.

The complete lack of a shower screen meant the bathroom floor was very wet after a shower. There were not enough towel rails to spread towels out on to dry. The area adjacent to the hotel, on the same side of the road, did not feel very safe. The road works were noisy.

Great in everything - location, room, services! Service staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered UberEATS and the delivery person has trouble finding the place. The reception gentleman was more than happy to help to talk to him to guide him to the hotel. The room was great as well - nice-sized, clean and bright. The bed and the sheets... Oh man the bed... Super comfy! Location was good too... Within 10 min walking to the town center. Overall, we had a very happy stay. I cannot recommend it enough.

The shower's water temperature was a bit temperamental - the labeling is not clear which side is "colder" vs "hotter" and I couldn't really tell by switching to extreme ends. I ended up speeding through my shower as the water got uncomfortably hot sometimes. Small inconvenience - I will still stay here again if I go back to Aix!

I will be back in Aix only to stay again at this hotel. It is the adorable staff that makes the whole difference there. During my stay I interacted with four different receptionists, and each one genuinely care for your comfort. On the top of it, the decoration, cleanliness, bed, breakfast, cocktails, coffee and location are excellent. This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Hotel Escaletto, and thank you to each of the stuff (I only remember the name of Elise, but the entire staff is all awesome).

We couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay in Aix. Lovely room. Really cosy. Super comfy bed. Marc, at the front desk, treated us really well, and the breakfast was great. Every single member of the staff we dealt with treated us really kindly and were very helpful. The interior design in general and in the room we stayed in was really nice and we really enjoyed the rooftop as well. The quality/price ratio is quite ridiculous. We were planning on staying for just one night but we liked it so much we decided to repeat.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and the location close to the centre is very practical. It is close enough to the centre to visit easily and far enough out that it is still easy to use transport. The breakfast is very high quality

Breakfast is a little late for some business stays. It starts at 7am which is a problem when you need to catch a bus at 7:10.

The hotel is brand new and located in the old town of Aix. The rooms are super comfy and well equipped. The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooftop looks nice although we could not test it as it was raining

The breakfast was a bit chaotic towards the end of the service (not much food left, or not looking fresh, we requested gluten free options for our breakfasts but they just forgot to order for the second day..). Could be the inflation (2023), but I found the prices really high for what we get...

The hotel has a stylish lobby with a cafe where you have your breakfast if you want to pay for breakfast. Breakfast is very good actually. The location is great and close to the central district.

Maybe I am just super sensitive but it seems like the walls are pretty thin at this place and I could hear conversations quite clearly and the elevator bell dinging when it reached the floor. Not a huge deal-breaker but something I thought I should mention.

Good space, had the room for four. Nice balcony. Nice walking location to town center. Breakfast was a great treat. Many options and well looked after.

Off sight parking wasn’t convenient and was expensive. There isn’t street parking nearby as stated. Missed happy hour by 3 minutes so charged full price drinks. Our fault but felt a bit stingy considering we stayed 4 nights.
