ibis Blois Centre Château

Our stay was off to a bad start as we were given a smoking room with disgusting smell. But we called the reception and they gave us another room and that one was perfect. From then on we enjoyed every moment. The room was clean, modern and spacious enough. The location of the hotel was excellent - walking distance to all the attractions and the bars / restuarants. The parking while not on site, was close enough and had good price. The staff especially in the afternoon / evening were very friendly. Fantastic value for money and a perfect hotel to spend a few nights in lovely Blois.

Well located hotel, right next to the Blois castle, though if you're traveling by train, keep in mind that it's a trek to go up to the station. But that's how the town is built, so nothing Ibis can do about that. Bed was comfortable, toilets and showers clean, and the necessities provided. Reception & staff were very accommodating. It was too hot for May and the A/C hadn't been turned on yet in the hotel, so we asked for a fan and were provided one. Also, the day of our departure, we'd left our luggage with the concierge there and we can back later in the afternoon to pick them up. We had some food with us (from a local creperie) and asked if we could eat in the hotel's bar (since we'd already given back our room) and were provided with seats, a table, cutlery, and everything. It was very nice of them.

Beware if you're traveling during April/May and it's too hot. You can't control the temperature from the room, so you have to wait for the hotel to enable the A/C, which didn't happen during our stay despite 27C temperatures outside and a rather stuffy feeling inside the rooms. We had to ask for a fan to help with air circulation. And if you need to open the windows to aerate, the outside street is always busy and noisy, even late at night, so you better sleep soundly, heh. Otherwise, everything was cool. The pillows are a bit thin, though.

Perfect location with parking nearby at a great rate.

ibis Blois Centre Château by far exceeded our expectations. First, by its unbeatable location next to Chateau, within 10 min walking distance to the Blois- Chambord train station, and close proximity to great restaurants (make sure to make dinner reservations, especially in high season). Chateau bus stopped across the street from the hotel, making visits to Chambord and Cheverny a breeze. Amboise with its sights is equally easy to reach (20 min by direct train). Our room (14 m2) faced Chateau (!). It was sparkling clean, very quiet and accommodated two of us easily. Air con was invaluable during heat wave. Breakfast was superb, varied and delicious; staff super friendly and helpful. I definitely plan to come back.

Not enough time

Great location right in the middle of town. Comfy bed. Good shower. Good value for money in terms of location, comfort and cleanliness. Quiet. Blois was an unexpectedly gorgeous town.

Room is small and the website shows much bigger ones, even for our budget, but that’s ok as we only stayed one night. Would have liked coffee facilities. If you have a roof box on your car, you won’t fit in the recommended car park but we just parked on a side road a ten minute walk away.

The room with children bed is big enough and comfortable, the bathroom is clean and all appliance are working well. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is very nice, just next to Blois Castle and the downtown. The parking is not in the hotel but at 300 m, (Castel public Parking), hotel has discount price for guests. the breakfast is good and has a variety of choice.

Only on Sunday, there was a rush hour at the breakfast the all morning and there were no more tables available. At then end to not wait we had breakfast in our room directly. Little bit pricey, given that we were not in peak season No kettle in the room.

Excellent location. Parking nearby and only €8 for 2 day stay. Reception staff were a bit mixed in their attitude - one was super helpful, another not so. Room was quite small, ok for a short stay but no storage space or space for suitcases. We were on the 4th floor and there was an old fashioned lift - I’m sure it’s ok and it didn’t break down at all but I’m a bit nervous about that sort of thing.

Great Hotel, Great Location for Shops, Restaurants & the Chateaux. Parking underground about 4 Mins Walk, Park then pay 8€ at hotel and they give you a pass to get out. Bed Comfortable. Breakfast lovely especially the Bacon & Scrambled Eggs. Big mention for Aurelie front of house, she was so helpful & knowledgable. Her English was Fab 😁Thank you.

The location was fabulous. We could walk to the castle easily .... around 3 blocks total (up stairs, up a short hill). Plenty of places to eat by the castle and from one place, you could watch the Magic House animations every 30 minutes. We parked in a nearby public lot (about 1 1/2 block away in the direction of the castle and a small lovely park) ... the parking is free, for example, from 6 p.m. - 8 a.m. I don't remember exactly, but we left the car there overnight and during the day, too, while we toured the castle and the lovely Blois Old Town. Be sure to visit the Denis-Pepin staircase about 3 blocks the other way from the hotel.

The hotel is next to the chateau and only a few mins walk from the center. We found parking on the street close to the hotel that was free during the night. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice. The 24 hour reception is great if you arrive late.
