Grand Hotel Gallia & Londres

The peace and quiet of the room at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden and off the main corridor. The hotel location to the grotto very close and easy to walk back to during the day. Right in the heart of the main street. The friendliness of the reception staff. The character of the hotel.

The room as first seemed a little smaller than I expected but it was fine and was adequate. Only one relaxing chair in the room not two and only one chair on the balcony for a room for two. But we were very happy with the hotel and i'm sure they would have provided if we had asked.

Excellent location. My request for a quiet room on a higher floor far from the elevator was granted. I was able to watch and listen to the night procession from my room balcony. Patricia at the Reception was particularly helpful. Personnel at the restaurant were accommodating, pleasant and efficient while serving dinner without long waiting time. Bravo to the chef - the meals were delicious!

Magnetic room card (key) did not work well and I had to go down several times to have it reinstalled.

Sofia at the front desk is a Super Star. Always very friendly and helpful. This hotel is close to the St Joseph Gate of the Sanctuary which is so convenient as I'm a hospitalier. I could see the Sanctuary from my room, thus watch the processions if I couldn't participate. Plus I sat on the balcony everyday to drink coffee, eat my lunch or dinner. The lounge and the bar areas are also comfortable. Caroline, bar manager, is also excellent and makes a great cup of coffee. I plan on staying here every year when I do my service.

Located in the middle of the tourist district. A short distance from a highly visited religious holy site. Lots of tourists around and parking was difficult to access. But once shown where it was easy.

Check in was slow but got sorted out. Some staff seemed to be in-training and that held up the swift registration. Breakfast was pricey. More information could be provided on check-in with facilities and other availabilities.

The location is excellent - easy walking to the Lourdes Sanctuary. A hotel with Olde Worlde charm. The staff were excellent - Christophe checked us in at 2am after travel disruption delayed our arrival. Then Monste, at reception, went above and beyond the call to help us sort a flat car battery on departure. We were so grateful for her assistance.

Wifi was very patchy in our room.

Very polite and friendly staff. The receptionist Anka needs to be mentioned here as her service was excellent. Location of the hotel was great. very close the the Sanctuary, loads of restaurants nearby. Hotel is beautiful. Good size rooms.

There was a bit of smell in the bathroom. We asked for one double bed and got two singles. Also the breakfast didn’t have a great selection for vegetarians and wasn’t replenished regularly. Nevertheless we still enjoyed the stay 🙂

Location! Its very near to the sanctuary. They gave me the room that I asked for with a tub. The gentleman gave me an urgent attention when I needed an ice pack as I had an accident with one of the guests and injured my knee, he was really helpful in attending to me. The housekeepers are doing an excellent job in attending our needs and made the room spotlessly clean.

For a 4 star hotel, an option of having a bedroom slippers would be great. The hotel reception area needs a bit of an update, it looks tired for me.

The hotel was so pretty and the staff were all very helpful & nice to talk to - they were very gracious about our attempts to speak French! A special shout out to the lady who checked us in and the gentleman in the bar. Our room was really spacious & clean. There was generally a good choice for breakfast & everything was topped up regularly. Perfect location near the Sanctuary.

The only thing that could be improved for us would be the vegan food options. We would have loved to eat in the Belle Epoque restaurant but couscous & veg isn't really a meal in our eyes. Breakfast options were limited to cereal with soya milk & fruit or baguette & jam. It would have been nice to have some non-dairy yoghurt, margarine & have the other breads labelled so we knew which had dairy in. Maybe some avocado dip instead of the dairy dip for the crudites? Saying that, there were very limited vegan options in the whole of Lourdes so it isn't an isolated problem. We would definitely come back though.

This is a lovely hotel right in the centre of Lourdes. The reception was most welcoming and helpful providing all the information that you needed. Our room was perfect and spotlessly clean on arrival and throughout the stay.

There is nothing that I didn't like about the hotel itself but if you're arriving by way of your own transportation be prepared to be led a "merry dance" by your Satnav before you find it. They change the one way system every 15 days apparently!

Staff were all very welcoming and friendly with a ‘nothing too much trouble’ attitude. Our breakfast ‘welcome lady’ was standout along with our reception on arrival. We were made to feel special.

Only thing that could be improved was our drinking water wasn’t replenished in our room after the first night and the pillows weren’t very comfortable.
