Hôtel de Brienne

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful which contributed to the overall vide of the hotel. The location was superb which made accessing everything very easy, either by walking or via public transport. There's a metro and a bus stop nearby. Me and my girlfriend got engaged here, so Toulouse and this hotel will always be special to us and we'll definitely be back.

Everything was good but it would've been nicer if the room had more space to put things like suitcases or towels in the bathroom. The room was small which was fine as it met our needs, however more hanging or storage space would've been appreciated. Also, the breakfast was nice but a wider selection of cereal would've been a bonus.

It was easy to locate from the airport shuttle and in a quiet area of Toulouse, yet within walking distance of everything. The rooms were compact but of an acceptable size. The cleaning staff were really obliging and helpful. Most reception staff were really helpful too and well informed. Great that check out was at noon, a real bonus.

It was not clear whether water was potable so a small bottle of water to share per room per visit was insufficient. It would be helpful, and great environmentally, if it was labelled that tap water was/was not suitable for drinking.

The hotel is situated in a large, main, tree-lined street with attractive traditional buildings, just round the corner and minutes away from the centre of the city. The location was very quiet and peaceful, but with all amenities very close by. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, polite and very helpful at all times. The hotel was very clean, tidy and well decorated, and the room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The staff were very approachable and friendly at all times of the day and evening, if asked for assistance.

Would be nice to be able to reserve a parking space prior to arrival (although we had no problem finding a space for our visit). Would also have been nice if we could have brought our (small) dog (Spitz Japonaise). However, neither issue would prevent us from staying with you guys again 😃

A hotel that works: good location + cosy comfort + awesome shower + staff efficiency + pleasant breakfast = happy customer. An unpretentious, modern, friendly, easy-going establishment with a supermarket 50 metres away and an easy walk to everywhere you might want to go in this underrated city.

Daily room cleaning was good but hardly prompt. Maybe I was just at the wrong end of the corridor.

Modern classy hotel. We had an enormous junior suite. Staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Best breakfast we have had in a hotel for a long time. Lots of choice - cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, breads and a hot section for cooked breakfast. Thoroughly recommend.

The position is a bit far out ( although a minutes walk to the canal) and a dearth of non fast food eateries. That said, metro just at the top of the road can take you into town centre.

Very nice room, good size, quiet. Comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. Very happy with the large soft white towels that actually cover you (not like the small postcard size towels you get in other hotels!). Being able to choose between a large buffet style breakfast or a smaller Continental breakfast depending on your appetite was good although it wasn't explained very well that you had to go to a different breakfast room, a faux pas on our first morning meant we went to the wrong room and were asked to relocate! Safe secure parking on site. The hotel location was very good, a 10 minute walk to the city centre and surrounded by bars and restaurants. The Metro station was a few hundred metres away and a small supermarket just a 50 metres away which was useful.

The separate w.c. was like being in a cupboard! Very small and a bit claustrophobic, we wondered how larger clients manage in there. Two nights running someone nearby slammed their bedroom door at 12.30 a.m. (not the hotel's fault though). The current trend for ambient soft lighting in bedrooms is all very nice but not if you have low vision problems and want to read in bed, an optional brighter light by the bed would have been helpful.

Staff are amazing, their responsiveness, professionalism and friendliness second to none. The (paid) late checkout made the visit to Toulouse much more enjoyable. The location is excellent at less than 15 minutes walk to the centre, with all Toulouse has to offer. The airport is one of the few where spending time is enjoyable! We really appreciated the follow up messages from the staff and general manager (good customer systems 👍)

Location was great for what I needed and only about a lovely 10 minute walk along the canal to city. The bed was super comfortable and the area was quiet. The breakfast is set at 2 prices depending on your choice, it was plentiful. Hotel is only a few metres from a Carrefour city (supermarket) which was convenient The lady that checked me in was kind enough to allow me to speak with her in French, I told her I was learning and she was kind enough not to switch to English, something I appreciated

The staff could not have been more helpful and polite. The loction is good with a short walk too the metro or down to the St Pierre area and the Capitole.

Room was a bit dark with only a small window overlooking the courtyard. Be aware that the division between the shower room and bedroom is a glass partition.
