Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City

We liked the layout of the room and it was a decent size for the room type. Coffee machine was good and shower was powerful. The dressing gowns and slippers were a nice touch. The breakfast was great, superb selection and very attentive staff. There was a spa facility too but we didn’t visit this during our stay, overall the presentation of the hotel was really professional.

Lack of shower amenities; no body wash or conditioner. The shampoo and soap was good quality though. The door to the room did not auto lock and another guest opened our room by mistake at one stage in our first night. There is a switch to lock the room so not a big issue but just something to note. The air conditioning stopped working on the second night but resumed in the morning, the windows open fully so this wasn’t a problem really.

The hotel’s location was impressive. Really close from many of the cafe’s, restaurants and shops. Attention to detail was evident. From the hotel reception the flowers were arranged beautifully beside the staircase and I was impressed with the niche side table offering guests to “Have a nice day and stay hydrated.” Inside the rooms were lots of drink choice within the mini bar. The use of glass bottles rather than plastic was again, a nice touch in respect of the environment. Bathroom amenities smelt lavishing and once again, reusable bottles alongside eco-friendly toilet roll. Need I forget the little quirk which was the note on the bed, offering a selection of pillows to help make it a perfect night sleep. Choices of lavender scented was a personal favourite of mine.

Carpets on the sixth floor were a little stained and at some point may need replacing to ensure the aesthetics of the hotel.

Location was superb - walking distance to public transport, restaurants and shops. Communal spaces in the hotel were beautifully curated and very comfortable. The TV gave multiple viewing options. Added bonus of coffee machine and free water in the bedroom. Happy to store luggage.

The shower cubicle being in the middle of the bedroom was a bit strange - impossible to get privacy. The toilet was then a very small, tight space. A single bathroom would have been more pleasurable. We were offered a room on the 6th floor with a view but on arrival we realised we were just looking into the next building - we didn't expect a view for the reasonable price we paid and the last minute booking, it's just the receptionist mentioned it.

Location near the city center, especially the shopping district and several U- and S- bahn stations. Phenomenal breakfast: one of the best selection of products I have ever seen in any hotel. Extremely professional staff: i was there on the weekend of the Kansas City - Miami NFL game, and some guests were rowdy and noisy, yet the hotel staff were always polite and acted swiftly whenever something bad happened. Room was massive!

This is not the hotel's fault, but as with many cities nowadays, some parts of Frankfurt can attract nasty crowds at night. While most areas immediately surrounding the hotel are fine, some can be sketchy. Be careful if going out late.

We stayed on the 6th floor with a beautiful view. Loved the shower in the corner of the room but this only works well if you're comfortable to shower in front of the person you're sharing the room with. Lovely large room and very comfortable beds and pillows. Very close to shopping areas and to the railway station. The hotel has a lovely open lift to experience for fun when this lift is operational in the evenings. Beautiful restaurant on site but we found the breakfast to be quite expensive at 30 euros per person per breakfast, so chose to eat breakfast out.

Perhaps a lighter breakfast at a cheaper cost could be added as an option. Aside from this, everything else was fine.

The staff are EXCELLENT!!!! The location is good. The Breakfast is expensive but very nice.

If you want a soft bed, upgrade your room. The standard rooms have rock hard beds and after 3 nights, we had to ask to be moved or we would have to book elsewhere. They did provide a mattress topper but it was thin and useless. The hotel is more for short business trips rather than 7 day holidays. The tea/coffee facilities in the room are poor. Someone came into our room while we were having a lie down at 6pm.. When they saw us in there, they scarpered. Housekeeping don't check rooms in the evening. So put everything in the safe!!!! The restaurant on the roof is beautiful but VERY expensive!!

The breakfast personell were extremely nice and polite, the very best at the hotel. Especially I will like to mention Sena, who took really good care of us and was such a good ambassador for the hotel.

The shower temperature was not possible to regulate, so I was not able to take a shower for severeal days. A technical guy checked and told the personell that everything was fine, but he probably believed that the problem was the water flow. So the reception desk told us severeal times that we had to turn the temperature up and down, as if we had never taken a shower before 😊 And the sid not offer to join us to have a look at it so we could demonstrate the problem. They offered a new room, but we would have to pack and move the luggage ourselves, so since I have arthrithis and no extra energy, we had to say no thanks. When we left, there was no apology, they Just tried to teach me again how to shower 😊 - and gave no discount.

This is my third or fourth time staying here -- I find the location convenient and the rooms cozy and comfortable. The breakfast room is light and bright and the food is very good. A very diverse selction of foods available including made to order eggs.

Staying in the front tower is problematic becuase there is frequently a line for the elevator. The view is very nice from this side of the hotel, but the inconveniece of having to wait for the elevator diminishes this advantage.

I like the location and it is very close to Hauptwache Station (technically the main station you want to use and is relatively safer than Hbf). With free check in water and a free bottle of water. Shampoo, shower gel and slippers provided. Hotel was neat and tidy.

The shower is a little bit too transparent haha. I guess it is fine for couples (well actually not for every case too) but for family and company colleagues on a business trip it could be a bit awkward. Please consider either adding a curtain dividing the sleeping and shower area or sticking some kind of opaque-effect sticker to get the shower section a bit more private.

excellent roof top restaurant and breakfast- staff were mostly very polite and friendly and welcoming.

Only one thing - a male reception staff made too much fuss when asking us if we were happy to share a double bed. He asked us twice and made his colleague ask us again! As a gay couple, we experienced this as unwelcoming and homophobic. he was otherwise ok afterwards- he needs training with handling LGBTQ guests - likely to be unconscious homophobia!
