Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt Gravenbruch

the locations and grounds were wonderful. the breakfast was excellent

the prices at the restaurant. we paid almost 100 euros for lunch. they charged us 50 euros for early booking without informing us first. the minibar was said to be free but it was completely empty and never filled with new items. the hygienic items in the bathroom were empty and not replaced. our room wasn’t cleaned the whole day. we asked for a packed breakfast since we checked out at 03:30 am and paid for it but didn’t even get answer when asked regarding that option.

As usual Kempinski is in line with expectations and in some areas even above expectations. Room was quite good, well prepared for our stay (beds for the kids, bath robes, slippers, cosmetics etc.). Hotel offers on site parking which was suitable for our big SUV (it was important for us). Breakfast was pretty good.

Would be great to have 24/7 room service to be able to eat something even despite the late arrival. We've been in this hotel many years ago, and it still provides good quality. Parking could have be complementary. Also it is not fair that hotel provide points for the stay only if you book directly through their online booking system (normally we do so.. but when we were making reservation it showed no rooms available, while on booking.com there was a room).

This really is more a resort than an ordinary hotel. It's just minutes from the airport but feels miles away from the city. Large park-like grounds, spa with massages and saunas, good restaurant. A perfect place to land and recover from jet lag.

It was refurbished a few years ago and has lost a bit of its old eccentric charm and become a bit more corporate.

This out of town massive hotel is great when coming from the airport for an overnight stay. There was a big conference on. Wonderful gardens and probably the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen - having just completed a 3 month trip that is saying something...

Was a bit disappointed with the dinner but it was late having just arrived from the airport but the staff were lovely.

the atmosphere, large rooms, swimming pool, kids play area, the staff positive attitude.

I would expect the food & serving to be more impressive at this hotel, tbh. the food at the lobby bar and restaurant should be more kid friendly. even the burger in the kids menu was simply a half cut of a normal burger (spicy/peppery). also the breakfast omlette is overly peppery. room service is a bit slow on food. (these are the reasons why this hotel couldn’t receive a 9 or 10, cons the price)

Lovely hotel, splashed out on a suite & thoroughly enjoyed it. Very friendly multi-lingual staff, extremely accommodating to dogs (blankets, beds & bowls can be provided & although I didn't take my two down to breakfast the staff was very happy to allow me to take extra sausages & bacon up to my room for them so they got a 5* stay too!). Very quiet & peaceful, loved the bathroom & shower in particular, would stay again.

Small observation: I thought you could walk right the way round the hotel grounds but it didn't seem like you could without going back through the lounge, my suggestion would be that the path by the lake needs some tlc & it would be lovely to have a path clearly marked saying which route you could take

The hotel is beautifully designed, the staff was very friendly, kind and professional they offered assitance and solutions to every request we made as we arrived with both a toddler and a dog. The kids club was wonderful and we spent rainy afternoons/mornings playing with the many toys on offer for all age ranges, they even added special Christmas crafts kits. They prepared a bed and water bowl for our dog and they have a dog sitting service which can be very helpful. Breakfast was very rich and fresh. The pool and pool area were very clean and there is a small fireplace and a lounge right next to the pool which is very relaxing. Our room was upgraded free of charge and we got a full complementary mini-bar :) We highly recommend.

While we were there they had an issue with the Wi-Fi and it was only working in the lobby. They tried upgrading us to the fast WiFi service for free but that didn't work either. Unfortunately this issue was not resolved during our stay but as this was a relatively short stay and we have service packages on our phone it didn't bother us that much.

original room they gave us was too far from lobby and facilities. room closer to lobby needed an update. not enough phone/computer outlets for charging.

We went to Frankfurt for a family wedding and to meet up with friends. We stayed in the 1st floor Park Suite for 6 nights which was supremely comfortable. Well furnished, spacious, air conditioned, a full bathroom and a second loo. There was also a coffee machine and satellite TV. The suite overlooked the corner of the lake and was situated in a quiet end of the hotel. We slept extremely well, the bathroom was well-equipped and there were plenty of hangers and the loan of an ironing board and iron to press our wedding outfits. Breakfast was great, a large choice of continental and cooked food including eggs Benedict, a particular favourite. The hotel spa offers a rapid COVID testing facility with immediate results, handy for international travel.

We thought that some written instructions in the room on how to work the coffeee machine would have been very helpful. We also had one afternoon and evening free and would have liked to watch some English language TV, it appeared that there wasn’t any which was very disappointing. We only discovered on checkout that the English channels were available if you scrolled to the right, not just up and down! Again some written instructions for those of us who required them, would have been helpful. We were disappointed to only be offered limited free wi-fi. To upgrade to superfast would have been €15 extra per day. We consider that this should have been included in the price of our suite.

The spa and pool facilities are excellent, rooms are well designed and clean and welcoming. Hotel staff were so helpful and professional and the food and grink in the lounge were very good.

The gym is small and the equipment is poorly thought out. Not very good for a workout with weights. In fact almost impossible in any meaningful way. The CV equipment is excellent though
