ibis Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof

The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed for a brief stay. Although it was warm outside, the room had an air conditioner unit with which we managed to get the temperature as down as 10 degrees. The location is right outside the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof and all the bus and train stops are within a 2-minute walk. Taxi stand is just outside the Ibis entrance. The breakfast was tasty and had good variety.

The room gets noisy during day time as it faces the main railway station however once the windows are closed there is no disturbance. Also, I did not find any refreshments in the room such as a Hot water kettle and coffee/tea. I had found such refreshments at other Ibis locations such as in Zurich.

The location was very close to the train station and this was great when traveling using the train system. The staff (Edward) went above and beyond to assist us with our travels and took the time to help us even though he was busy. He was very helpful.

Bathroom was tiny. There wasn't much room. The room was small. My room overlooked the train station, as did my friends rooms. The noise from the train station wasn't too bad if you kept your windows closed. My friends had rooms along the same hallway, but opened their windows and said it was noisy. There was some noise in the hallway, but I was close to the elevator, so that might not be an issue if further away.

Good location - can walk into town. Very comfortable beds, clean bathroom. Parking for car. Helpful staff. Decent bedside lights for reading in bed! The room is compact but good use is made of the available space. Ideal for a short stay.

Breakfast supplies could have been stocked up a little quicker. Never understand why clean towels are provided every day when there is a notice saying hang them up if you want to use them again to save trees, electricity etc. We hang them up - and new ones appear anyway!

noisy doors, when guests from other rooms on the same floor close the doors one would definitely hear it

For me, the location was very convenient. Close to rail station and close to business that I was visiting. But during the night, I could sometimes hear the loudspeakers from the train platform.

When I checked in, I was given the key to a room that the maid was still cleaning. She was very surprised to see me and there was some confusion about what I should do. If I should wait for her to finish or go to reception and ask for another room. But it was resolved fairly quickly. The doors are very thin and at night I could hear people out in the halls talking loudly.

The breakfast was great. Everything you need, not overloaded for a fair price. But please keep more waffle batter at hand 😁 Also really liked the air conditioning in our room and the window in our bathroom. That is really not common ☺️ The bed was quite hard, what I really liked, but it might be uncomfortable for others.

The bathroom in our room was extremely tiny. I was 5 month pregnant at that time and had a really hard time just to use the facilities. Showering was also quite tough and there was no tray to put own shower Gel or shampoo.

we had a great breakfast, very comfy beds. The room was on the street side which was very quiet, we did not hear any trains or buses or trams but they are right there.. great location, right near the train station easy to find. Great restaurants within 10 minute walk.

there was no coffee maker in the room and the shower could use a little rim around it so even with the shower area sloping down, there's a lot of water pooling together... having some extra towels there would help.

Breakfast was very good. The room was small, but manageable and clean. The staff was great. The close proximity to the train station made it ideal as we transitioned from a rental car to the train for our next leg of our vacation. We also enjoyed the easy access to the bus system, to get to the downtown/Old Town area.

The Bathroom was a bit too tight, with the toilet angled nearly under the sink to allow access. Everything else was awesome.

Right next to the main station and only a 20 minutes walk to the historic part of the city. Paid parking is directly in front of the hotel (need a key which you get at check-in) or in the backyard. They also have free parking 300 meters away. The staff is very nice and welcoming.

Unfortunately it was hard to sleep as there were a lot of noises (trains outside and and lots of other random sounds in the hotel)

The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was small but very functional. The air conditioning was good. The property was excellently located right next to the Heidelberg HBF. There were several nearby establishments from where you can purchase food and groceries. The hotel had excellent value for money.

I liked everything about the property, the facilities and the staff.
