Had a room on the fourth floor with a balcony, it was wonderful, calm intersection made for a nice relaxing view and breakfasts on the balcony. Highlight of the stay! + mini fridge is a must when staying for a few days and can store some food, Fridge, Tea and Coffee maker and the balcony were all the reasons I booked the room in the first place. But the beds were firm and very comfortable in my opinion. The room was spacious and cozy.

Water in the shower was often switching from hot to cold to hot, it was uncomfortable especially cuz when it was hot, it was scalding hot. The bathroom can use a few more hooks to hang the towels. The one they had by the sink fell off when I hang a towel on it. Also, it would have been nice to have black out curtains on all the windows, but one window didn't have it, so it would get very brights in the mornings.

The place is located in the Belgian quarter and it's actually of art historical significance. Except for the nice reference in terms of name to Chelsea Hotel in NY. Which was the joke which made me book a room - that and the affordable price - I also got to later on remember that the hotel and its associated café have been the hangout of a well known german painter. The pictures and posters on the walls should have also been a tip. But I realised it later on! :) The staff was gracious enough to cue me to this. But even if it would have been just a matter of facilities, I can attest that all is cozy, clean and friendly.

The hotel is excellent. We have stayed before, during covid, where the surrounding facilities were restricted. We found the Hotel and staff very accommodating then. This time, we have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of nightlife in the vicinity. The centre of Köln is around 20 mins walk and buses, taxis and the "s"bahn are within easy reach. The Hotel is a little gem within the circle of the city. The restaurant has a small but very tasty variety of food. The breakfast is worth every penny. All the staff, Hotel and restaurant, were excellent. We had a lovely weekend.

I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe the weather :)

I definitely liked the room, it was clean and had a mini bar as well which I did not expect, so that was a nice surprise. There was a large window that opened all the way (nice for fresh air) and good roll-down blinds to block out sound and light. I slept very well here. Also the shared shower (I had a room with a shared shower) was amazing! Very spacious, clean and had a rain showerhead. Definitely recommend staying here. Also LOVED the late checkout!

A pretty big downside was that you have to insert your room key into the outlet for the lights and outlets to work, so you can't charge anything inside your room when you're not there. I was there to do photoshoots and I could only charge my stuff overnight when I was actually IN the room. Since I had three batteries to charge, I had to set my alarm to change them. Would have been nice to be able to charge my batteries and laptop during the day when I was out and about. Also the room was pretty hot. Air conditioning would have made this stay perfect.

The location is fantastic and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. We had a kitchen and a nice size balcony where we sat some nights and had a beer. We come to Germany every year and we will look to stay here instead of Airbnb. My wife watches movies on her laptop and had no issues using VPN to watch Netflix.

Cologn'e Chelsea Hotel is legendary and they know it. I was lucky enough to have booked one of the suites and they put me into the Kippenberger Suite which has its private roof terrace. The architecture is playful, intelligent and aesthetically pleasing.

The airconditioning did not work; as a European I do not mind, but in summer it gets really warm under the roof.

Really well situated and the price was good that weekend. The hotel is perfect for a short stay so I will repeat it for sure. Also it,s very clean and the room is quite big.

The parking is a problem in all Koln. Parking in the streets is 1 euros x 15 minutes!!! That it not a problem of the hotel... but we need to think before consider top be central in the cituies.

Perfectly adequate room, of decent size, good spacious bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, served in the adjacent cafe for a really good price (Euro 14) by very friendly staff. The location was fine for me, a short walk to the Museum Fur Ostasiatische Kunst, my destination.

The staff at the reception could be a bit more friendly, check-out slow. The room (no. 42) was adjacent to the street so quite noisy. No milk with the coffee machine only sugar.

This was not my first stay at the Chelsea. I love the location, the staff is really friendly and helpful, and they have interesting rooms (I stayed on the top floor). The balcony is definitely a plus.

I couldn't find a power outlet near the bed. Also the internet was not really working well in my room.

Good location for my purpose, (visit to Museum Fuer Ostasiatische Kunst) spacious room, and a good breakfast and a pleasant restaurant nearby (Peruvian, Tigermilk)

The only problem about this hotel (this was my third visit) is the street noise, and the fact that you cannot darken the room completely: the curtains are not wide enough.
