Hotel Bidakara Grand Savoy Homann Bandung

Breakfast was great. Service at the restaurant was exceptional.

Internal Communication between front desk and restaurant should have been better. First day for breakfast with additional pax. I was told to pay instead of charge it to the room. Therefore that evening , l went to the front desk to place deposit . The very next morning it happen again. I was told to pay the bill for yesterday breakfast there and pay for today’s breakfast too. They check with the front desk initially and was told that no deposit was made. Till l show them my deposit receipt that was made yesterday. The rest of the next 3 days have no issue anymore. Also, l think there should not be any additional payment for asking additional 1 extra towel.

I was impressed with the historical story of the property, as I am one of the Japanese. The hotel renovation quality was amazing but the same time they retain the old and traditional elements in the property which amaze the people stay at. Staff communication level is also recommendable, while I was waiting for the preparation, they offered welcome drink at the restaurant besides the reception. Location wise also highly recommended since it is easy access to the main street of the famous Braga street. But the guest better to remember accessing to another city from Bandung is not that easy If you are the first time visit.Moving to another city such like Yogjakarta or Bali, you need to take a domestic flight from KJT-Airport which is quite far from the property. Costs around 400K for the taxi, a part from that issue, 100% you can enjoy with everything you need.

Nothing much I list.But If to I pick up the point, the online-travel-agents booking doenst come to the property as you expect.Therefore you may book a day prior for your comfort stay.

Great historic hotel. Excellent location. I love the architecture and period features.

I stayed at the hotel before. We generally enjoyed our stay however at check in we were told that the swimming pool opens from 7-7. One night we rushed to get back be back at the hotel for a swim at 18:00. However when we arrived at 18:05 we were told that the pool was closed. This is very poor communication as we rushed back from the city centre and take a taxi to get back in time. This needs to improve as we have been told one thing and the reality is something different. Disappointed that management did not address the issue when raised and even after sending an email they did not reply... dissapointing. Despite that we enjoyed every aspect of the hotel.

The breakfast is perfect. It's a big buffet in a pleasant space. Although the original Art Deco design might have changed it is still present and grand. Walking through the impressive lobby and seeing the golden (guest) book is a treat for every history buff

We arrived at a time when apparently a lot of people wanted to check in at the same moment. In that regard, it was pretty busy at the service desk causing a rather long waiting time before we were able to go to our room.

The Savoy Homann is a hotel with history. Great ambience and beautiful lobby, we loved it. The location is excellent close to Braga street full of classic Dutch colonial shops and restaurants. Personnel is super friendly and helpful. The pool is very usable. Price/performance is IMHO excellent because prices were very reasonable.

The hotel is very much showing it's age. If I were the manager I'd let a restauration crew cycle through all rooms and corridors. Maybe they are doing that and we got an unrestored room. Also hygiene could be better. All this did not deter us from having a great time

The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The variety of breakfast is also very delicious. The staff was great.

the hotel was probably older, and the air conditioning would lose power in the early hours of the morning, and the same thing happened both nights. Caused me to wake up from the heat. The sound insulation effect of the balcony is not particularly good, and the noise of the car driving on the road below is very loud.

we stay at Hotel Homan because it is close to the Braga Street. And also because of the breakfast room and the many choise of breakfast. We choose the executive room out to the street to follow the action Sunday morning. We have now stayed in the various types of room - and like the executive overlooking the street (room 235)

It's one of the finest hotels in Bandung! Rich on history and cultural heritage. The location is great, close to shopping centers and hang out places. We booked the Executive room for one night. The room is big and spacious. It has a balcony viewing to the Jl. Asia Africa Street. The restaurant is also beautiful with semi outdoor ambience.

Some of the walls in the executive rooms hallway are starting to peel off. And the shower room door is almost broken. The breakfast menu and taste are just so so.

All staff are super friendly and attentive. The lobby is very beautiful. The room is clean and comfy. The breakfast, especially the Indonesian menu, is yummy. We also ate dinner in The Garden Restaurant and didn't expect much, but all the food we ordered was delicious! We will come back for sure if we visited Bandung again.

The rooms are nicely designed, but need a little refurbishment.

Of course the fact that this hotel as a long and fascinating history, it is a well preserved building, the design is still present, of course the emplacement of this hotel is also very important.

The electricity in the room could be better, more plugs working autonomous and not related with the general power, apart of this detail everything was fine.
