ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta

I recently had the privilege of staying at ARTOTEL Thamrin in Jakarta, and it was nothing short of a captivating and immersive experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in a world of artistry and creativity that left me truly awestruck. One of the standout features of this hotel is its unique collaboration with 8 incredibly talented Indonesian emerging artists, each of whom has been entrusted with decorating a different floor. This concept is nothing short of brilliant, as it infuses the entire hotel with a vibrant and dynamic energy. As you move from floor to floor, you'll find yourself transported into different artistic realms, each with its own distinct style and identity. It's like staying in a living, breathing art gallery. The attention to detail in ARTOTEL Thamrin is truly commendable. The façade of the building itself is a work of art, a testament to the thoughtfulness that has gone into every aspect of the hotel's design. The interior of the rooms is a reflection of this originality, with each room embracing the spirit of the artists who have left their mark on this establishment. The result is a harmonious blend of luxury and art, where you can immerse yourself in the creativity of Jakarta's up-and-coming artistic talents. The staff at ARTOTEL Thamrin deserve special praise. Their warmth and professionalism added to the overall comfort of my stay. They were always ready to assist with a smile, whether it was providing recommendations for local dining or ensuring that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. The hotel's central location in the heart of Jakarta is another major plus. It made exploring the city's vibrant culture and attractions incredibly convenient. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this hotel's location is hard to beat.

Good Hotel at a very good location. Friendly staff, good breakfast and well maintained cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms. I stayed here for 5 nights. Size of the room was decent though not big. Overall a good and affordable place to stay in a nice location. Around 5-10 minutes walking distance from Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia shopping malls.

The lighting in the room was very less. Somehow managed it. Also, late night music sounds came from the roof top bar affecting sleep negligibly. It's not enough to awaken you but in case you get up due to nature's call, then you may have some issues falling asleep again if you are a light sleeper. Other than that I could not find any other issues with the hotel.

The property was acceptable, since they've already told us the room size in the first place. Really interesting room, since there are no identical drawing in each room (we booked 2 rooms). If you stay over the week-end, you can experience the one and only : Car Free Day in the main street of Jakarta. And a lot of food stall - sell traditional food for breakfast (in the small streets near by). And a main museum just around the corner, Jakarta National Museum, the hotel even has their own modern-art gallery in their Mezzanine floor..

We have to ask for the hair-dryer which is for me, is a basic necessity.

Near the shopping place such as sarinah..just walking distance. Also, others shopping areas are near. The breakfast is also nice...

Late check in...the room only ready at 2.30 pm...what a waste a time... i have an event at 3, and it really rushes. Yes i know just 30 min late not a big deal,but it is for me because i did email dan chat to them.if they respond, it will be a BIG help for me. I did send a message thru chat and email to asking about the lugged, if i can drop in the morning because the event that i will attend will end around 10 pm..but no respond....not sure what message and email function are for them.

Strategic location in the heart of Jakarta. Across the street from Sarinah and within walking distance from Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. Prime location. Good value. Room is comfortable with good amenities. Shower is hot and strong. Bed is comfortable.

No curtain or glass door to the shower area so water is all over the bathroom after shower. Furthermore, water seep through the wall and goes into the bedroom (a lot of water, not just a little). Room and bathroom are messy and slippery after shower. No electricity plug near bed.

The staff are so helpful and accommodating. I love the creative decor and the beds are so comfortable. Housekeeping is great too.

Both times I have stayed I have been bothered by noise from the restaurant/bar next door. I asked for a room on a higher floor this time and it was actually louder! It even interfered with my ability to watch TV and listen to music in my room. Trying to sleep was futile.

The rooms are ok, The bathroom is fine and the breakfast is outstanding, also the al la carte restaurant is having a good selection of international foods and Indonesian foods, the location is perfect just opposite to Sarinah Mall a super nice modern new mall with plenty good restaurants, Indonesian artifacts etc. Better buy there than in the Airport.

The staff is very nice & helpful. We liked the design of the hotel and how each floor has its « thematic » reflected in rooms’ paintings. The breakfast is correct and the location is a big plus!

Rooms are really smalls but the the size is clearly mentionned in the description. Missing some conveniences (like electricity plugs in the bathroom, or an electricity plug near to a mirror).

The location is strategic at the heart of Jakarta with MRT access and a lot of eateries nearby. The room size is OK, I guess, but a little too cramped to have a suitcase open. The bathroom and amenities are up to standard (love the coffee machine). A bluetooth speaker would have been a nice touch. Thanks to the 24-hr room service, I could satisfy my midnight cravings. The blackout curtains are super for a light sleeper like me.

Only one lift was operated on the weekend when there were a lot of non-staying guests (mostly guests of the restaurant and the rooftop bar), making it longer to wait and uncomfortable especially when you're already in your 'sleeping attire'. Other than that, the American breakfast (optional at 175K) is pretty sad compared to its sister hotel in Bali.
