Grand Istana Rama Hotel

The resort was great , the rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds and gardens were beautiful, very close to shopping centres, restaurants, cafes and opposite the beach.

Request rooms on ground floor to avoid many steps to get to rooms on the third floor.

The hotel is in a good location and staff are friendly and helpful. The bar at the front is a good meeting spot, and over the road from the beach. Close to Poppies lane. The Deluxe rooms/bungalows towards the front of the hotel are nice and spacious.

We originally had booked cheaper rooms at the rear of the hotel in the multi-story blocks. These rooms were not as clean as they should be, lacking a deep clean. Bathrooms need a really good scrub down, plug-holes cleaned of hair (ours blocked up) and some maintenance done. The cleaners do a good routine clean but a deep clean is needed. We moved to better rooms towards the front of the hotel, for a small extra cost. These rooms were excellent and also better maintained and cleaned. I would recommend that the hotel simply ensure that all rooms get a good deep clean and attention to maintenance more regularly. The larger rooms at the front of the hotel are adjoining which is good for families too and worth the extra money.

The staff were amazing. The pool and pool bar were excellent! The location -- walking distance to restaurants, garluc lane and poppies 2. There were squirrels in the tree and in the grounds. We are from AUS and dont have them so that was exciting for our family.

The bed was very hard, the shower had very little pressure and difficult to get to a comfortable temp. Apart from these two minor things we had an excellrnt stay.

The property is centrally located in Kuta and directly across the road from the beach. The entire property is beautifully landscaped in a tropical style and very well maintained. Facilities were very good as with the rooms. Wifi was consistent and very good as well. Very good value for money. Staff exceptional and a very big thank you to the Manager - Dewa, and Aria who was a Jack of all trades.

Variety on breakfast. Croissants and chocolate muffins included. Nice bar in front of the beach. Live music at night.

Everything staff facilities pool and can't recommend the tepenyaki corner enough the food delicious

Amazing helpful staff! A small oasis in a crowded Kuta! Definitely would go there again!

I’ve stayed here a number of times before always found good value and good service. Is handy location to beach and shopping. So someone who wants to be reasonably central and not spend a fortune is good value.

The breakfast didn’t have the variety of the past but I would think will build up as they get busier. What was there was good but as I said not the variety of the past but better than most at present.

Breakfast is very good, just need to cater for Western meals a bit more. example Bacon

I feel that we have been coming to Istana Rama for many years and i feel that the price has jumped up way more than the normal inflation has been tracking. we started with a price of about $50 per night several years ago and our last trip we paid $125 per night. yes i know you must move with the times but we feel the price was wrong. we now look at same time 2024 and see the price is $84 per night. we asked at the time of checking in and were told we had been upgraded for free but this was not the case. we PAID A PREMIUM PRICE. maybe you could look into please.
