Shangri-la Surabaya

Top class hotel. The staff is great, attentive, polite and very nice and professional. The facilities are amazing, the pool is good, the gym has everything you need, the spa service is also amazing! The food options are also very good, I tried the Japanese restaurant and it was amazing! The room size is also spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, it is clean and tidy. I loved my stay at the Shangri La and hope I can comw back soon!!!

Only comment is that breakfast in my opinion, has a lot of Indonesian and Chinese food, and is lacking a bit of options for Continental breakfast type of people.

The room is nice.

For suite room guess, you should provide special car parking space or free vallet. The electric socket in the Bali suite is very troublesome. Luckily I bring my Swiss knife to deal with this unfamiliar socket. Sure I prepared to deal with international electric socket when I go a broad, but it is not a pleasant surprise to find this 3 head electric socket in a hotel room in Indonesia. You should replace this with 2 head electric socket like any other place in Indonesia, because..... your hotel is in Indonesia... Right??? 😁😁😁 The brekfast menu in executive lounge is too limited. When we try for welcome drink/cocktail at arrival, the pastry/ cookies already gone. Only coffee available The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Excellent breakfast, comfortable room. We booked a Horizon room, with gave us access to the comfortable lounge on the 12th floor. The hotel has a very spacious lobby that was a pleasure to spend time in and receive our visitors. The swimming pool, in the garden behind the hotel, is larger than most hotel pools.

The pool staffs cum life guards are very friendly and they are really there to watch over us especially those with kids. They deserve a thumbs up. The pool has water slides for the kids to really enjoy. The room service...surprisingly the food is delicious than most of the 5* hotel The breakfast is excellent. That's I believe the signature of Shangrila. Everywhere we go with Shang, breakfast is always sumptuous. The room is great! Love the pillow and bed.

Check in may take longer but bearable as there is additional covid-19 protocol we need to fill in that may take up extra time and many people are checking in at that time as well with just 2 counters.

Gym area, strength equipment should be renewed. Changing room, including shower , sauna , jacuzzi have been outdated should be renovated.

The staffs come all the way to my room and bring a cake for my birthday! Thank you! They also have free professional photography session which was amazing, since this hotel has so many photogenic spot. 😊 The executive room was soo big and comfy! Wifi is fast. Water temp is just perfect. And the breakfast was superb! A super friendly middle aged man assist us during our breakfast, he's been working with Shangrila for 20 years. No wonder he's soo good at service! They also offer us free movie night with free popcorn. However, the slot is limited, we were too late. Thank you for all the warm welcome from the staff. We will miss going back to Shangri-La again. 😊

Breakfast was good, room was clean and comfortable and the ambience was very nice overall in the hotel

Pool area and set up looks outdated. Gym also could use some modernization (better move to pool area rather than closed area.

The room very clean, and new towels, faucets, curtain. And I like the outside of my room very quiet 👍👍👍 Unfortunately, when i booked the Horizon Executive with the big room, but when I check in I get the smaller room, an the lower floor, but I pay the same price 😔😔😔

We are transit in these hotel for going to Bali because hotel located near a toll gate.

Cleanliness We found dirty bath robes inside the wardrobe, wonder the staff is didn’t collect it when they cleaned up the room. The same situation inside the bathroom, they’re just provided 1 towel and it seems not hygiene because it’s small bad. Perhaps it is not a new clean towel. After we are complaining, then they come to deliver a new and clean bathrobes and 2 towels.

It's a lovely place, I really enjoy coming here. Polite staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, good food, just super!

I wish the bar was open.
