Glen Gat House

Friendly welcome, room was nice size to the front of the building. Bed was comfortable, shower was good and the anti steam mirror was a bonus. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and a great start to the day.

Bit of wait at reception on arrival at check-in but it wasn't excessive. Room was cold initially as the radiator was turned off, it was pretty cold outside, but the room warmed up after a while. I found the breakfast room pretty cold, didn't appear to have heating turned on.

I stayed at the Glen Gat House in 2018 and was excited to go back this week. One of the best bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at. It's a charming spacious house with good sized rooms, extremely clean, comfortable and a staff that is both friendly and welcoming. And a wonderful full Irish breakfast included in the beautiful dining room. Highly recommended to anyone traveling in the area!

I have zero complaints about the Glen Gat. Like I said, I highly recommend it. I guess my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

I liked the Christmas decorations in the living room. The casual and laid back approach of the hoteliers was a really good reason to realx. And the breakfast was self service coffee a nice touch I hadn't see for a while.

In the room there was no hairdryer. The shower took a little getting used to but worked great in the end. The TV didn't have BBC 1 so I missed the Strictly come dancing a later on episode. The parking offered was good but would have meant a slow get away in the morning.

tight off street parking - but that’s only a minor niggle in an otherwise superb guest house - you’d struggle to find a better place!

Helena was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was very excellent and early. Location could not be more central. Room was generously sized.

No shower gel although that may well have been a one-off. There was ducking and diving with the booking but it all went full circle and worked out in the end so no real complaints on that score.

Was in Dundalk for a 1 night stay for the races. So was only in the b&b a short time. But the staff was friendly. The location was great ,only a 5 minute walk to the centre. Room was a good size with netflicks an added bonus and the home cooked Irish breakfast was lovely. Would stay again.

Gorgeous old property in a central location. The front desk staff were very welcoming—they were truly the best part of the experience and ensured we had a great time in Dundalk. The room was spacious, and a full breakfast was included.

We got the room at the very top of the house and it was comfortable and had a window for natural light, a tv with Netflix for the kids, and a coffee station for morning. Breakfast was good and the staff was very accommodating.

Well maintained and decorated rooms, easy check in/out, friendly staff, everything worked well making for an easy no fuss stay, breakfast was relaxed and plenty of it, all set against backdrop of quirky interesting furnishings, plenty of shared spaces, some outdoor areas, parking etc. Just great...nothing to complain about. Would visit again.

The Glen Gat Guesthouse is well situated, it is easy to walk to key places in Dundalk and to get the bus to the Dublin Airport. I appreciated the attentive welcome, advice for my daily walks and restaurants and of course the full Irish breakfast. The breakfast was a great start for the day with Tim and Helena particularly attentive to the guests. I'll come back and highly recommend the guesthouse!
