The host Kathleen is so friendly, very welcoming and helpful. There's everything you need. In the dining room you can make tea and coffee anytime. There's a microwave so if you brought food with you, you could heat it. There was an iron and ironing board in the hall. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of parking. It's like home away from home. I didn't realise before booking that breakfast is continental style but it didn't matter to me as there was plenty to eat.

Stayed here for a wedding i attended at cabra castle, the b&b is 2 minute drive from the wedding venue so ideal location. The lady who owns this place was lovely very nice and friendly. Room was big, clean, beds comfy and a real cosy home vibe. Nice continental breakfast ready for us the next morning all very good value for money. Would recommend and return.

I stayed at Plantation Lodge for a wedding at nearby Cabra Castle - a mere two minute drive away. Kathleen (the owner) could not have been more friendly, warm and helpful. Before travelling, she was kind enough to send local taxi numbers. On arrival, I had a very warm welcome from Kathleen who went above and beyond to offer tea and a light snack as I had a long journey from London. She also had the room ready slightly earlier than normal which was great. The house was very large, warm, with lovely views across fields and ample on site parking. I had a family room with a large double bed, as well as a single. Ensuite bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries. The bed was comfy with a very high quality duvet and pillows. Exceptionally clean, secure and well equipped with a TV and hairdryer. Lovely continental breakfast with toast, marmalades, cereals, yoghurt, tea and coffee. Kathleen popped into breakfast to check everything was ok and we had a great chat. Absolutely excellent value for money and would highly, highly recommend! Thanks so much for a great stay!

the actual property was lovely, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms attached to the bedrooms were brilliant. the showers especially were strong

nothing! the only thing I’d say was we arrived when it was very dark so we nearly missed the turning into the property, so potentially a light outside so it’s easier to see the property entrance. but that is just a nitpick. we absolutely loved the whole place

we stayed here for a wedding in cabra castle. the hosts were very kind and took us to the venue we it was less than 5mins in a car. beds were comfortable and room was very quiet and clean. exactly what we were looking for as we were attending the wedding just up the road.

nothing to dislike about the property but it was very hard to get a taxi back to the property from the castle and ended up walking which was approx 20mins

We stayed at Plantation Lodge as we were attending a wedding in Cabra Castle and it was absolutely perfect. The B&B is a 2 minute drive to the castle and it was straight forward for us to arrange a taxi back in the wee hours. Kathleen was so welcoming and accommodating. The room was spotless and the B&B was very quiet. Excellent value for money and highly recommend!

Fantastic stay at Plantation Lodge. Kathleen was a great host and very helpful when myself and another room needed a lift to Cabra Castle for a wedding. 5 min drive to the castle and good taxi service available locally to get back to the lodge again. 10/10 accommodation.

Kathleen! What a great host! Flexible with arrival times after my flight was moved then delayed. Made me feel comfortable in her home from the moment we met. Attentive all of the time, and cooked a fab breakfast that saved me from a horrendous hangover! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I couldn’t fault a single thing

The place is a typical Irish house, lovely surrounding and Anvers pretty Castle (Cabra Castle) nearby with a very good restaurant. Quiet, lovely stay and Kathleen is wonderful. In the morning a cat visited us in the room, which I loved.

it was so close to the wedding venue we were due to attend (3mins). It had parking available and the bedroom was lovely/comfortable bed. We received a lovely welcome and felt very comfortable there.

it became quite bright through the curtains in the morning, would only affect people who like to sleep in a dark room
