beautiful courtyard, attentive staff, could get coffee at the restaurant (which is in a beautiful setting) and the cappuccinos and macchiatos were great. Front desk very willing and able to order transportation to various places, including the airport. Lobby courtyard and upstairs courtyard with beautiful trees was a great place to meet up with our friends or just hang out. Took a nap by the pool. good shower, especially for a tall person. There was always a fresh bottle of water in the room.

Could hear traffic and airplane noise--nothing that earplugs didn't fix. hot tub takes 1.5 hrs advance notice to heat up.

The restaurant and bar are on the rooftop terrace, a lovely place to hang out. The food was good and the service was very attentive. We enjoyed the egg dishes for breakfast, especially the omelette. The "fluffy hot cakes" are not what you expect, so stay with eggs. We ate dinner at the in-house restaurant one night and it was very good as well. There is a small pool and a jacuzzi on the terrace, surrounded by cushioned sofas and chairs. Light blankets are provided for the cool mornings, which makes for a cozy, relaxing place to read, enjoy that first cup of coffee, or sleep off last night's visit to one of the mescalerias. The staff at the reception desk - whom we haunted incessantly for information and recommendations - are exceptional. A special shout out to Christian and Jose, without whom our stay in the Oaxaca area wouldn't have been as complete, flawless, or interesting. They handled everything from making dinner reservations to arranging for private drivers and tours. They do not hesitate to let you know what places do not serve good food, charge too much, or are not worth visiting - advice that saved us time and aggravation.

It's a minor issue, but the duvet was very heavy and bulky for the October weather. We did change rooms because I made the mistake of asking for a room with a window, which turned out to be a strange closed box that was not open to fresh air. The only room we saw with a real window opened out to the street, which was probably noisy. Our room was at the back of the central courtyard and it was quiet.

The location was really close to the center of town so there’s a lot of options for eating out and activities close by. The staff were really friendly and helpful, knowledgeable of activities to do and directions to get to places in town. they even provided a map in the room with restaurants and other things. The rooms were very well kept and it was always nice to come back to a clean room after touring the city. all in all it was an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend staying here as I will be again next time I return.

there wasn’t anything I found that I didn’t like. The only exception was on the last night a roach found his way into the room, but that could just have been from the open style the hotel has in its lobby.

We really liked everything! The people at the reception desk were fabulous. They were all so nice, helpful, and pleasant. Everyone who was working at the hotel---in the restaurant, keeping the rooms and common areas clean and pretty, the maintenance workers--everybody was lovely! Our room was fabulous! We stayed for 10 nights and we loved it! The hotel is in a great neighborhood and close enough to be able to walk to areas of interest, restaurants, museums, galleries, and more. The hotel's restaurant was really wonderful, too! The pool and jacuzzi were lovely, as well.

Actually, we can't think of a thing! Our stay at Los Pilares was so comfortable. We enjoyed the atmosphere and wouldn't change a thing!

The hotel is a charming colonial house tucked in a colorful neighborhood of magical street art. The staff is attentive, polite, and eager to help. The hotel hosts a courtyard restaurant that is superb, with a menu offering fusions of Mex and Mediterranean by a fantastically informative, friendly, and creative chef. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant --and met delightful dinner company every evening.

No complaints. The walk to the city center is about 15 minutes, but the route through colorful neighborhoods makes it very worth it (especially after a meal)!

Absolutely beautiful property. The room was comfortable and the bathroom quite nice. It’s generally just a beautiful relaxing place and I’m glad we stayed there.

We got one breakfast and a glass of wine at the bar/restaurant- I would say that it is generally the kind of place that are catering to westerners in that it’s overpriced and just not the best food/option you can find. But if you’re looking for a very western breakfast it’s a good option. Also our room only had windows facing the public courtyard, and they should gaze the glass so that you can let in light without having people see in

Restaurant on site meant we could eat there when all else was booked on Christmas Eve. Excellent food and service and nice atmosphere. We also had breakfast here everyday, delicious and reasonable! Location was great. Decoration was great Staff very attentive and helpful We felt very safe and welcome and looked after. Would stay again if we came to Oaxaca - thank you

Our room was noisy as right next to a cobbled road cara drove down all night. My partner slept with earplugs in which solved the problem though. We had two doubles, they were quite small if you want to share. Would have preferred one larger bed

We loved every minute, it was so very clean and the bed was very comfortable!! We had a clean pretty shower as well as the room and added bath! Loved the AC we had no windows but was not a big deal the room was nice and bright, with ajustable dimmer lights. Hotel stayed quiet during day and night. Staff was so helpful and nice. Jacuzzi was a wonderful extra! Only thing is they close the restaurant at 6p and can't order anything after that. Still we were very happy. Definitely will be back. ☺️

The rooms were cute. We stayed in one room that had windows outside and it was a little weird to have them open because you are at street level and there are no curtains. The second room had a window to the courtyard of the hotel which we just kept shut for privacy. They bth had air conditioning which was awesome and the bathrooms were nice especially the showers. We also really liked the cute neighborhood "barrio jalatlaco" and we even got to witness a parade:)

I wished that the room with the window to the lobby had more private curtains. They weren't see through but light would definitely come through at night. There weren't chairs to sit on in the rooms...I don't think.
