Majagua Hotel Boutique -Adults Only

The property is beautifully decorated and the room is a good size. The roof terrace is lovely and served a delightful breakfast every morning.  The staff were friendly and Fatima in particular was superb and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. 

The breakfast service was a bit chaotic and slow. The waiter seemed to half serve a table then move to the next one. They also had a confusing “included breakfast” that didn’t include certain random things on the menu. The only natural light in our room came through a courtyard which is shared with another bedroom. This made it a bit awkward to open the curtains and so the room is a bit dark. Although we coped fine you can definitely hear the noise from the road outside pretty clearly in the room.

I loved everything about this hotel, the ambience, rooms, location, the daily homemade treats left in the rooms and the rooftop !! The chef and food at the hotel was an added plus with amazing food and baked goods. Breakfast on the roof was honestly one of our favorite parts about our whole trip. Not to mention the amazing staff, some of the most friendly and caring people we met. Front Desk super helpful with getting us set up our day trips with Jorge which was a blast! highly recommend! 10/10

The hotel is gorgeous. Modern and chic. I travelled with a friend but we had our own separate rooms. I loved my room! It was spacious, clean, cosy and cool. I recommend asking for a room at the back, not the street side of the property. Initially I was room #1 by reception on the street side but it was so noisy (guests and street traffic) the first morning, I was wide awake at 6:30am! The hotel was apologetic and moved me a few hours later. Breakfast was great, lovely man called Daniel who told us all about the dishes and the special tea. Great staff. Great location. I will be back!

How clean and modern it was. The room was chic and very comfortable for us as a couple. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The patio access from the room is such a plus detail. They made sure you were happy through the staying. We highly recommend it. And we will definitely comeback

Maybe having the free coffee at the room available through your staying. We had to pay for the nespresso coffee capsules after the ones they give you for free as a welcome token.

The Majagua staff was some of the nicest staff I have encountered at a hotel. Carolina and Eleazar at the front desk were always super friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. They were also extremely helpful with arranging rides and taking care of my husband's medication which needed to be refrigerated. They were able to recommend places to get any type of food that we wanted as well. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast, and Daniel who served it each morning was wonderful to talk to and was always very accommodating. Also, be sure to try some of their house cocktails. Celestino made wonderful recommendations for us. The in-house food and drink were well done and again I can't say enough good things about the staff. Finally, the location was ideal for us. It's a 5-to-10-minute walk to all the major city activities. So it was very close to the action, but the street was very quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone (without children) who is visiting Oaxaca.

The hotel is small and so there is some noise in the morning, not overly early but around 8 AM people are definitely up and moving around. We are both light sleepers so it might not be noticeable to everyone. I did appreciate that they provided earplugs to minimize the impact as well.

Clean accommodations with local flavor, very attentive staff, Cleanliness is my number one priority and that very well met.

Restaurant opens a little late breakfast for early morning excursions. Maybe 30 minutes earlier would have been helpful on a couple of the days or even perhaps an option to pre-order a breakfast for 7:30 a.m. A mini fridge would have been greatly appreciated to store cold drinks in the room.

The atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. The bathrooms were spacious with plenty of counter space and closet space. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, I wish I had this mattress at home. Breakfast was so good! We loved staying here.

incredibly beautiful hotel! The rooms were beautifully furnished and had some lovely touches - including a turn down service with chocolate each night. The whole property was really lovely, with a beautiful rooftop terrace and delicious meals for breakfast each morning. Was very impressed!

The Majagua hotel is perfectly located in the historic center of Oaxaca, close to all the great restaurants and artisanal shops. The staff is very attentive and very willing to help. It's a very well designed space with beautiful architectural design and finishes.

We could hear the traffic at night, but it wasn't much of an issue.

My wife Terry and I loved everything about this hotel. Beautifully done modern design with Oaxaca accents, gorgeous details from the wood trim to the lighting. Superb staff, (Thanks again Mario!)very helpful and warm. Breakfast was excellent with Jorge taking great care of us!
