Viva Merida Hotel Boutique

Good location just a 7 minute walk from the cathedral. We stayed in the loft, which had a useful kitchenette, separate dining area, cold a/c, and very hot water. All sorts of nice extras were available like a water cooler with carafes in the lobby and big pool towels. Some unforseen work had to be done on the pool for the days we were there, but the hotel worked to figure out a good solution with another hotel that had a pool so we could go swimming. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but Daniela especially went out of her way to help us. Great stay, would definitely book again.

We spent 4 days in this hotel and were very sad to leave this place… first, the staff is GREAT, a huge shout out to DANIELA who has always made herself available to support us and went above and beyond for our comfort. We are deeply grateful. The restaurants advise given by Daniela and the group is based on them really tasting each of the restaurants suggested. Fresh water is provided in a continuous basis (water fountain available) and this is very appreciated with the heat in May in Merida. The decoration is amazing! the Colors are breathtaking and everything is done with a nice taste. Finally, the hotel is very well located at walking distance with main attractions of the city. We will hopefully be coming back to this place. We greatly recommend.

The bed was not firm enough for our taste but still it did not have a material impact to our stay.

The Hotel is roughly 5-7 Minutes away from the ADO Station and is situated on the crossroads, nevertheless the room is still very quiet and one can enjoy his stay. The hotel itself looks like a yard, where breakfast is served in the "central square" and the rooms are around it. Breakfast is okay, for the price of the room could be better. One can walk in around 10-15 Minutes to the city. Personnel was friendly at the check-in / check-out, otherwise not seen. As we were leaving very early to get the next bus, we got out breakfast as a lunch box, which was very thoughtful.

The bed is very small for 2 people and we are average to slim (for people with more muscle or above 1,90m it might be an issue to get sleep at all) Bathroom is on the top floor, which seemed cute at first. However, after walking up and down for every sanitary need it stops being an advantage.

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a larger holiday in Mexico for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved our stay at Viva Merida. It was the absolute perfect place for exploring the city. We were easily able to walk into town in the day, then pop back for a couple hours if we wanted to before we went out again in the evening. The room was really spacious and the facilities excellent. We had the loft suite which meant we had a terrace and kitchen area at the top. These were so handy for sitting and watching the sun go down in the evening or having a lazy breakfast if we didnt want to be sociable. The room was so beautifully decorated and all the staff were really helpful and accommodating. It was the perfect way to start our Mexico trip.

Everything has been so good at Viva Merida hotel. I highly recommend staying here. We got a car and they arranged the parking very easily ( parking is extra and not a lot. it's mentioned so we were aware). The staff was always very helpful with recommendations and more. The place itself and the room were beautiful. Breakfast...OMG! DELICIOUS and a lot!!! A water machine is available to refill your bottles or carafes ( provided). I honestly have no pain points to share! Everything in Merida was a close walk from the hotel. Great location.

This place is absolutely wonderful! It’s not only beautiful but everything was spotless clean and detail oriented. The location is perfect and very safe. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. The staff always went out of their way to helps us with all our requests mostly Yara. You feel like you’re staying at a colonial Spanish Hacienda. The bed is perfect and the bathroom is so big it feels like another room. Highly recommended. Stay here and you won’t regret!

We liked everything but you need to be aware that the room is a 2 story design. The bathroom is upstairs so if you have trouble going up and down stairs you should not stay here. Not sure if they have different one story rooms though.

Our stay was just splendid. The beakfast was rich and made with love. The staff was always on hand, very attentive and super friendly. The hotel itself has a unique ambience with an inner courtyard thats roof is open when the weather is nice. There are pieces of art everywhere. The little garden with the pool is lovely. In some comments the rooms without windows were mentioned. We were in such a room and we loved it. There is aircon and a fan and fresh air from the roof. The bathroom ist upstairs in the room. With all that in mind and the greate location it was one of the best hotels we have ever had. Clear recommendation!

Viva Merida was the perfect hotel to spend six days exploring in and around Merida. We used it as a base to visit Sisal, Izamal, and Uxmal. The staff could not have been nicer. Morning breakfast had multiple options, our favorite was the Mexican Egg Breakfast, and all choices included fresh juice, fruits, and homemade pastries. The design of the building was stunning and the colors inside were gorgeous. Our room had a delightful canopied 19th century bed and a fantastic shower in the upstairs bathroom. The hotel is a few minute walk to the center of Meridad with its beautiful cathedral and town square. We would definitely stay here again when we revisit Merida.

Viva Mérida Boutique Hotel was a lovely, charming and overall a very nice hotel. It is located at the heart of the city and a 5 minutes walk to the Centro which is downtown. We were here in mid October so the heat wasn't so unbearable and we literally walked to the free museums and even to passeo de montejo avenue. We rented a car and decided to use the Parque de Santiago free parking to leave our car over night and it was just a block away from the hotel. Parking otherwise would be 7.50 per day US. Of course you pay in pesos equivalent today of 150$. The room was spacious enough for my family needs and their breakfast was really lovely. The staff was superb and courteous, we were extremely please with the service and we absolutely would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a pleasant stay close to the main square in Merida!

This is a very nice boutique hotel, close (walkable distance in less than 10 minutes) to the historical center. In addition, it is on one of the main streets which helps a lot if you are driving. Hotel parking is conveniently located some 50 meters down the street. The hotel staff is outstanding – friendly and helpful. For instance, if you start your day early to visit some places outside of Merida they will prepare a take-away breakfast. I was very grateful for this. Facilities are immaculately clean and in good state. You red about stairs and climbing needed to get to the bathroom – depending on your personal circumstances, likely not an issue. Actually, I liked it as it firmed some parts of my body without going to the gym. The wi-fi and AC worked perfectly.

I got a very good price deal due to visiting outside of the main tourist season. However, if I had to pay regular price, I am not sure that I would have opted for this hotel.
