Kasteel De Vanenburg

The location is great! Quiet, in the middle of the countryside. Even on a cold winter day, one can make beautiful walks through fields and forests. The hotel is surrounded by a small 17th century estate, with nice landscaping elements. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, although the rooms are situated in small buildings scattered around the property. Which is a good thing, as the rooms are therefore modern, with all the comfort one needs. Still the rooms have the same atmosphere as the main building.. There is a restaurant overlooking the park. The room had a fridge, coffee maker and water boiler for tea. Cars can be parked at a big parking lot (plenty of EV charging points) and the train station is just a 20 minute walk away.

We had several bookings for family members. For one booking front desk staff gave us the key for a small room, where we had booked a bigger one. It was all solved nicely by a different person at the front desk, but I got the feeling a big part of the staff are students and trainees. Also during lunch, most staff were very young and orders took quite long to arrive. One needs to learn the trade of course, and especially with current staff shortages it's not a big deal at all. It does mean things don't always run smoothly though.

We booked about twenty minutes before we arrived. When we got there, the staff were very welcoming. We were asked if we wanted breakfast at the property, which I didn't think would be possible since we're vegan and would need it delivered to the room. To our surprise they were able to accommodate. The breakfast was absolutely amazing too! The entire stay was a highlight of our trip. I can't believe the value for the money - I have to imagine it costs more during peak travel season. Honestly, I'd arrange a whole trip just to come back here. Wow!

I had a fantastic time during our 3-night stay at Kasteel De Venenberg. The castle's charming ambiance, luxurious rooms, and impeccable service truly made it a memorable experience. Very nice Junior Suite for a reasonable price. The location is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Nice place to relax and do some work while sitting in the beautiful garden. Before I left, I booked again just to return with my girlfriend.

For the money you pay, not really anything. But if I have to be Dutch and nag about something, I would have loved to get a good cappuccino in the morning, not from the machine.

Service and staff were very friendly. The possibility for golfcart which brought us to and from our hotelroom to parkinglot Very clean and somfortable hotelrooms. Exeptional view and lots of nature to explore

Eventhough the breakfast room was wheelchair accessable, it was not. The ramp towards the restaurant was too steep for a wheelchair to use. Downwards was ok, but up is not possible to do by yourself.

Beautiful surroundings, small nature walk not far from the property. The rooms were well layout, ours was a family room - bedroom, hall, bathroom and a livingroom with French doors leading to the outside area where you had a table and chairs if you choose to eat/sit outdoors, complimentary nespresso coffee and water.

Nothing, but would have been nice to know if we could explore the inside of the castle building.

Fabulous location, in the middle of an oasis of peace. Modern design meets the wisdom of centuries. The interior bath tub and the open fire create a romantic and cosy atmosphere. Professional responsive and friendly staff. Little surprises to be discovered in the garden of the castle. All these made our stay memorable. Definitely recommended!

a superb location, with beautifully maintained gardens. Very kind staff, especially the receptionist who helped us with advice and even locations in choosing the perfect beach for the family. Very good breakfast. The rooms are equipped, clean and beautiful, as in the pictures. We felt wonderful and hope to come back

Very nice venue and staff. Well priced for the value that you get. We also had dinner in the restaurant which exceeded our expectations. Very nice!

The only downside of our stay was that the breakfast wasn't at the same level as the rest of the venue. Not that it was a bad breakfast, not at all. But just not as good as the rest.

We had a truly amazing family stay. The hotel venue is beautiful - a tourist attraction in itself. The staff were always super helpful and the room was perfect for a family with 2 small kids. We will definitely come back!
