North Zen Villas

The mangrove boardwalk is really cool and done well. They have a partnership with their sister hotel so if you want to go hangout at the best beach in Panglao for the day you can do so at that hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and will help organise early morning packed breakfast for your day trips. We got really sick one day (nothing to do with the hotel) and they have a hotel nurse who came and checked us out and gave us medicines all for free. The breakfast was really good and tasty and they had a very generous happy hour. In the rooms the bathroom comes with good shampoos and things, nice towels for both beach and shower. The TV has a lot of different options. I also like that they provide a pillow menu so you can choose a pillow that suits you. Additionally the pool is really nice.

I work in sustainability and try to choose hotels who value this which is something this resort says it does. However I was disappointed to see Sharkfin on the menu...this needs to be removed immediately if you really value sustainability as is mentioned throughout the hotel. Particularly as you are working to protect a mangrove which is a key nursery habitat for sharks. The Internet was patchy and weak but since I wanted to get away from the Internet it didn't matter. The beds were a bit soft.

Spacious Rooms, very nice ambience, pool, bamboo board walk, and staff are all friendly, welcoming, and attentive. There is a good breakfast selection. Free access to South Palm Resort’s beach and pool and South Farm

Our A/C is leaking with water, they called maintenance and temporarily fixed it. But the next day it is still leaking. We requested to move to another room but they said resort is fully booked. smh. While there is a free access to South Palm, transpo is not free nor an available shuttle, costs 500 php one way for a group of 4, takes 25 mins ride. Lastly, additional costs if you requested refill of your cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or juice during breakfast.

The place is beautiful especially the mangrove area. The pool is heated, room is spacious and comfortable, good view from the room and food is scrumptious. The staff are very friendly but they seemed shy and I guess delagation and coordination of their tasks should be improved. But again they are super friendly and helpful :)

What we loved: * Sunsets and the mangroves at the boardwalk were phenomenal. Must visit even if you are not staying in the property. * Comfy beds and rooms were quite spacious * so many reading nooks [Hammoks, little cabanas by the pool] * STAFF - Amazing amazing staff. I lost my phone outside the property while driving on the highway but they went above and beyond to reunite me with my mobile. Including patching me with their on-call IT guy who helped send 'LOST' message to my phone, so the person who found it could call us back. When that happened, a staff personally escorted us so we could retrieve our phone back. All the while, treating us with respect and care and not irritated with our irresponsibility. Thank you Regor, Greg and Alma. I hope you received my personal note of thanks!

Nothing but the distance from the center gets to you when you spend more than 3 days. You have to rent a bike and roam around!

We really enjoyed the villa #2, it felt like home away from home. We also like the bamboo boardwalk and the mangrove: very unique and enjoyable. The hut at the end of boardwalk is pleasant and feels safe. Staff including the restaurant were very accommodating and attentive.

No exhaust fan in the bathroom. The in room massage was not worth the price. Finally, we were saddened by the crying puppy tied at the end of the boardwalk at night, alone. He was scared. We mentioned it to the guard on duty and hopefully he took care of it not being alone.

I loved every moment of my stay at North Zen Villa! The staff were friendly, the spaces were clean and the facilities were great! I recommend a stay at North Zen Villa for everyone! They assisted us so well, even booking tours at an extra fee!

Our stay at North Zen Villa was so wonderful that I struggle to fault anything. Although, I can suggest the following: a souvenir shop, more than only two tour options, soft face pillows for all massage tables (not only those outside), as well as an ATM machine.

its a quiet place... and the staff were good.

The resort allows too many outsider to use the pool facilities & other amenities and it takes away the charm of the quiet and serene location. The staff prioritized the day pass clients.

Great staff, who made my stay here. They also offer some tours, and I can recommend the island hopping tour.

Nice hotel. Good vibe. Room had a good size. Great beds, Very friendly staff. Nice pool plus surrounding area with loungers. The new restaurant had its opening on the day that we left. It looked nice. It's probably an upgrading fo have breakfast there.

The door of the bathroom made a lot of noise. Needs some grease. Shower is in the bathtub, which I absolutely don't like. We had our breakfast in a temporary - open - breakfast room, which was OK. Limited breakfast choice. You could choose between coffee OR juice and only 1 cup of coffee was included. If you want a second one you had to pay for it, which I find kind of weird and stingy. It should not be like that. Maybe it's a ZEN thing?
