Always great. Location is perfect if you enjoy the casino and plenty of restaurants open till late for delicious food. ATMs are a few steps away. Always parking available Infront of the Lodge. Staff are helpful and rooms are spotless.

The only thing that needs to be upgraded as a matter of urgency is the power outlet issue in the rooms. If you need to use your phone while it's charging and don't have a 3m cable, you will have to position yourself LITERALLY Infront of the TV. There is only one 2 point plug outlet so if you are travelling as a couple, you will have to take turns charging your phones and if you have more devices like most people do, good luck with getting everything charged for the next day. It's an impossible task. Ideally there needs to be usb outlets next to the beds and another 2 at the desk aswell as a dual plug outlet. The TV channels are also from the dark ages. No Netflix or Disney or anything of that sort.

The room was very comfortable. Great bed and cushions. Spacious bathroom. As a smoker, it was a joy being able to smoke in the room and not having to sneak about in the middle of the night trying to find somewhere to smoke - most civilized. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

a few things would have made it perfect...a decent toilet seat (that silly little plastic thing has no business there) and a seriously pap couch needs to be replaced. The shower has a sign on that says to 'cap' my shower at a minute and a half... it took at least 2 minutes to get any hot water...:) And besides, we're not really struggling with a drought at the moment...

Location is always great. Staff is always friendly and service is great. Rooms are neat and tidy. Breakfast always a champion.

The shower doors did not close properly. As a non smoking couple we had smokers in rooms around us which made it rather unpleasant. . Bed duvet cover seams were coming apart in places. Main door and surrounding rooms had to be slammed to close and noisy ,so sleep was interrupted all the time.

Great location (just steps away from Grand West casino), clean and comfortable rooms, and great value for money.

We had dinner at the restaurant and we were disappointed by very average food and terrible service. Our waitress seemed very inexperienced, unsure and repeatedly made mistakes. It seemed like our children’s food order was forgotten. The adults received their food, and about ten minutes later we asked about the kids’ food and were assured that it was “on its way”. It took another 20 minutes to arrive, by which time the adults had all finished eating and the kids were starving and restless.

Great location to Grand West event centre and Cape town international airport. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are totally adequite for 1 night stay. I love the extras like a welcoming refreshing drink on arrival and coffee at reception for the fast movers ! This time round , i also had breakfast and enjoyed the great selection of the continental breakfast buffet. Added to the buffet was baked portions of fish, sushi, catering for all culteral groups. Staff was very friendly and helpful filling up my cup of coffee and giving me the best table overlooking the pool, although i was on my own.

Very good, comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Helpful reception staff. The fact that they kept a suitcase of ours for a week while we went to a game park. Very convenient having casino restaurants right on the doorstep. Very quiet and best night sleep we had while in South Africa.

When we moved our beds we found toenails on the carpet. Our room was at the end of the corridor and had a mouldy smell. We didn't realise we had to navigate such a bad area to get to Grand West.

We were given a lovely 2 pack of baby donoughts at the checkout, lovely touch. Very friendly staff. Convenient and has all amenities needed for a short stay.

Not sure about being on the 1st floor facing the car park, found it a little noisy. Prefer ground floor, avoid steps. We did not book for breakfast, we find that highly priced unfortunately and could not justify paying R190 and not being able to eat that much. The wimpy at the casino is R45 for a nice simple breakfast. So sorry 🙈

It was a good location as we were visiting family nearby. Felt safe and secure, able to go for a meal at the casino. The staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate the British plug, it is a nice touch! And parking is convenient.

There was an odd shutter in my room, which meant that the bathroom and bedroom were all one room. The shutter could not go down or up... Ok as I was on my own, but would have been difficult as there was no privacy in the bathroom if I was sharing.

Water machine, toiletries, comfy beds

Fixed showerhead, hand shower is better for the elderly person with me and if they can put a grip for person being helped to shower. Our room was far but at least ground floor. If you are going to claim to be disabled friendly at least have a wheelchair and a porter available to help the guest check in. Perhaps invest in a lift so that the disabled or old and frail can also be housed upstairs and maximize available accommodation that way. I wanted to stay an extra night but City lodge Pinelands and N1 city as well as Roadlodge airport only had upstairs rooms available. The male assisting me can smile a bit it is not like his face is going to crack or he does not get paid to do the job.

Breakfast is always good. Staff are very friendly and most helpful. dining area always clean and well maintained Great selection on offer and guests are spoilt for choice. Rooms are always neat and tidy, would like to have a little more coffee and milk in the room :) Overall, our stays have always been a good experience. Thank you

we were hoping for a good offer, specials etc. We do come to City lodge at least once per month, but if we could be offered a better rate per night, we'd like to spend more time there. there isn't anything that we can complain about.
