Nine Tree Premier Hotel Insadong

We stayed in the large family room for 6 nights which was comfortable for our family of 5. Our two older boys enjoyed the bunk beds and kids' area. We were happy that the room had a small fridge and microwave as we were travelling with my baby. The room had a living area for the family to hang out after a long day of touring. We liked that the hotel itself was within a shopping mall and a 5 mins walk to the trendy Anguk area where there are lots of cafes and also easy walk to Ikseondong Hanok village, Changdeok gong, Gyeongbukgong. Location is really fantastic

The service was cold and no-frills. They cannot help you book restaurants or call a taxi to the airport. The part that annoyed us the most was that the rooms only had paper cups for the sink and paper cups for the mini kitchenette. Not very practical as the paper cups start to disintegrate.

excellent location - within walking distance to many cultural institutions - Seoul craft museum, modern and contemporary museum, the incredible Arario in Space museum and a zillion smaller amazing galleries in Insadong at the doorstep. Also next to temples and two palaces...... highlight was Insadongs vibrant streets and markets and being able to go back to hotel for a break in the middle of the days adventure. Highly recommended..... fabulous.

im positive about every aspect of this hotel... the staff were very helpful and the star rating reflects the quality of all services and facilities.

This was the second time I stayed at the Nine Tree during the same trip -- the first time was so great that I chose to stay here again for a longer length of time (16 days). The location is perfect and the staff were really kind. Laundry facilities are top notch (a little pricey) but worth it. They even have a steamer closet. I loved the water stations on each floor. It made it so convenient to fill up on my way out or in.

The split elevators is a bit of a pain when you're in a rush, but totally understand why! I never asked if a stairway was accessible to guests. When I booked my stay through booking.com, I asked for a quiet room -- the whole hotel is very low noise, but my room was located in the same area as the elevators which did increase sound from foot traffic. Regardless, I would stay here again.

Location, near 3 metro lines and Insadong is a fun area itself. Very friendly staff. I love this place! Will stay again and with a couple changes I would rate this place a 10!

Only 2 things 1. Too hot. I think this is true of most Korean places but I like to sleep cold. AirCon wasn't on overnight and while the nights outside were pleasantly cool, (late April) it was hard to get that cool air into the room through the tiny window behind the fixed edge ofthe curtain. Temp inside the room when I got up in the morning was a steamy 27.5 (they did provide me with a fan when I thought to ask) 2. Coffee. They only provide mediocre instant and it is difficult to find a coffee shop open before 10am. Would love if they provided real coffee or a real coffee option nearby.

Excellent location just behind Main Street of Insadong, and also just across the road from Jogyesa Temple and the Seoul Museum of Craft Art. Room is spacious. There is a coin laundry available.

The location of the hotel was great. the facilities were good, although we did have a slight issue with the coin laundry but this was quickly resolved by the helpful lady at the front desk.

There should be a phone to ring for assistance when having issues in the laundry, as you have to go all the way down to the reception to get help. we arrived at the hotel at 2.30 pm. check in was for 3pm. The front desk assistants would not assist us or anyone until 3pm. This meant that at 3pm there was a queue of tired guests waiting in line to be served. There was not enough seating for all the guests as the waiting area is very small, so most of us stood around and waiting.

Rooms were in excellent condition and located in the less busy but still lively Insadong area. Conveniently located between 2 metro stations on different lines, which allowed us flexibility when travelling to the various places of interest. There were less options for food as compared to Myeongdong but there was sufficient variety and quality for my group to thoroughly enjoy our 7-night stay. Amazing staff, very warm but professional from the moment of checking-in. In-room requests for towels, top-up of coffee, etc. were fulfilled promptly.

Double rooms were mostly furnished with bath tubs, which were an issue for elderly. Gym equipment is very limited.

Excellent location for visiting main historic sights in Seoul. Room size was quite acceptable for a large city. Breakfast was worth the 25,000 won as the buffet was extensive with both Western and Korean options and allowed us to often skip lunch with just a nice snack. The self-service lockers seemed odd at first, but worked great.

Check in time is not flexible - do not expect to get into your room prior to 3 pm. Even after checking in at 3 pm, 3 out of 4 times our rooms were not ready and we had to go back to the lobby and get new rooms assigned (we stayed twice with two rooms each time), which seems pretty egregious. At least each time they did have other rooms to give us.

The hotel was located in a good spot for lots of walking and food! It’s also about a 10 minute walk to the Embassy and it’s super convenient for us as we will need to visit often. It was clean and the hotel staff were nice. They also spoke very good English! The breakfast was phenomenal, and I definitely don’t regret including it into our stay. We wanted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant as well, but when we went during dinner hours, it was open but no host or food or people were even in there.

The family room was a bit smaller than I imagined, but it was clean and we had a comfortable stay as a family of 4.

Excellent location, with restaurants and shops all close by. The family suite was perfect for us, we travelled with a toddler and it was a very large space for Seoul. I highly recommend this suite for young families. The rooms were cleaned to an excellent condition each day - I had reviews stating otherwise but that was not our experience.

The kitchenette should be better equipped in the suites, there wasn't a single plate, bowl or cutlery to use. When I rang reception I was told it wasn't a residential place and not to expect it. That could have been communicated far better (I will give this staff member the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to English being a second language rather than being rude) - also many hotels with kitchenettes do provide those items.
