Hotel Benalmadena Beach

The pool was clean and nice, the area around the pool was clean and well-equipped. The hotel area, the rooms and especially the sky-bar offer really nice sea views. The location of the hotel is excellent with many nice bars and restaurants around. The reception staff was friendly and spoke decent English (the cleaning ladies spoke and understood no English). The hotel offers very efficient laundry services.

At most times there were not enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all guests and you had to "hunt" them, i.e. sit at a nearby bar and wait. Some bed linen and towels disappeared after each cleaning of the room so each time we had to call the reception and ask for them - that was extremely annoying. I tried to book a massage a couple of times but it was impossible - the reception staff promised to arrange it and never called back. On arrival the room floor was sticky so I cleaned the floor myself. The beds were nice but the pillows were very uncomfortable. The parking fee imposed by the hotel is monstrous (20 EUR/day) so we had to park at a public parking, which is within a 10-minute walking distance from the hotel.

Literally everything. The check in was easy with friendly staff. The size of the hotel was perfect with the right amount of people, and a lovely mix of nationalities. The sun beds were available throughout the day with free beach sun beds. The location was perfect for catching the sun throughout the day with great views of the marina and beach. So many shops, cafes, restaurants and bars close by and a short promenade stroll to the bustling marina, just ideal. The modern spacious rooms were clean with all the necessary facilities available and working properly. All of our group were impressed and would happily stay here again.

Amenities: Beachhotel with direct access to the beach and sunbeds free of charge for either the morning/afternoon. Whole day would be 12€ for two beach beds plus umbrella. We had a front seaside room with a stunning view over the ocean. The room size was appropriate, the interior was modern and clean. On the 9th floor there was extra rooftop terrace with sunbeds for all hotel guests to use. There was also always space at the pool to chill (no “reservations” with towels allowed if you leave the area) Entertainment: the hotel offered several entertainment options such as a flamenco night and saxophone evenings. There were also options for kids and also for aqua gym available (all free of charge) F&B: Breakfast buffet very big with a lot of options for vegetarians (pancakes super yummy). The hotel also has a snack bar at the pool level and a nice chill out lounge with a huge terrace in the 8th floor. Service: The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They were super patient with any inquiries we had and also helped us to book a rental car on short notice through their partnering company for a reasonable price. Transport and Location: we took a car sharing service from and to the airport for around 20€ . The 110 bus stop to Malaga is directly in front of the hotel . The harbour with a lot of dinner options is just a 10 minutes walk away Overall, I can highly recommend this hotel and we would not hesitate to go there again. Thank you for a nice vacation!

Small recommendation: please use coasters or napkins for drinks to prevent spilling :-)

Absolutely everything about the hotel is great from the staff especially the female staff that work the pool area !! Pleasant and friendly!! A credit to the hotel.. I also have to say that even though we checked in early the staff got us up and on the go so as to enjoy the facilities immediately....Great 👍

The bar manager Danni needs to catch a grip! Not pleasant at all..cant wait to stop the all inclusive..he even slowed it down at 10.30!! Had to go to the bar to find staff! Later after 11pm he was delighted to let me know that the all inclusive was over and the n charged me for 3 drinks when I only got 2!!!!! Maybe needs to lay off the red bull.

Right beside the beach. Nice swimming pool with snack bar beside it. Nice restaurants close by the marina. Nice music in bar. Room was spacious with TV, large shower area. Would go again. Nice staff.

2 single beds not a double bed.

This is the second time we come this year. Excellent team, thank you for the wonderful welcome and especially Luis for the activities he prepared for the guests, cocktails and aqua fitness in the pool. Very friendly staff Kenia and Nathasa.

The staff was wonderful, attentive and friendly. At one point in our stay we got some really noisy neighbors, the reception send up a bottle of cava to comfort us and offered another room to sleep in. Very nice :) The waiters in both the snack-bar and the restaurant were incredibly busy, but never missed out on being friendly, polite and offered super service at all time.

The street beside the hotel can be a little noisy if you spend the evening on the balcony, depending on the location of your room.

Very clean and fresh. All the staff were warm and welcoming. Rooms are stunning well presented, clean, beds were great. Housekeeping was to a high standard. Facilities on site were perfect, I used gym, indoor pool and the bars. Good variety of food and was lovely

The indoor pool could've done with a clean on the edges. It just gave a poor appearance though the rest of the area and pool water itself was clean and I did use it frequently. The buffet food was not kept at the right temperature, a little disappointing at times. Entertainment was advertised for every night, but the delivery was poor, with the exception of Kath the Welsh singer, amazing 👏

I didn’t like how you couldn’t get a drink until 11am. so when you leave the breakfast there was no drinks until 11am . we asked for water to take to pool to have with medication and they didn’t want to give it . we felt that we were begging for drinks when we had paid all inclusive

Oh my, we have LOVED our holiday at the Benalmedena Beach hotel. The staff are all smiley and friendly and work so hard. I have to especially mention LUIS, entertainment staff who is exceptional! He has everyone joining in with him, he makes everyone laugh and is just so engaging with all whatever the activity! I have never had so much fun at an aqua aerobics session. The hotel is very clean and requests are granted straight away with no fuss-extra pillows etc. The maids keep the rooms spotless throughout the stay. Sunbeds round the pool are plentiful, no reserving is a good rule and totally not necessary in any case. The hotel provides limited FOC sunbeds on the beach for either morning or afternoon sessions which is a real bonus. Short walk, steps down to the promenade/beach. We chose bed and breakfast option. There is an immense choice at breakfast and a beautiful terrace to sit on where you enjoy wonderful views. The rooftop terrace bar is a must to visit. The views are phenomenal and the service from Regina, David and Jose is excellent, again always delivered with a smile. We loved Laura, singer and the flamenco dancers and we won Luis's music quiz!! :) The location is ideal. You have a lovely, wide promenade with beach bars, bbqs and beach shops, the Marina is within walking distance and then at the front of the hotel a main street with bars, restaurants and buses just outside and over the road to take you anywhere you want to go. We stayed here last year, stumbled on the hotel by chance on line and what a find!! I have no hesitation in saying we will be back next year. We were greeted as friends when we arrived this time which was a lovely touch! Do not hesitate to book this wonderful hotel.
