Hotel Mirador de la Cepada

Great location on the edge of town (away from the crowds) but with easy access by foot to restaurants and bars in town. We had a junior suite which was large with great views of the town and mountains and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was varied with a good selection of fruit, meat, cereals and pastries. We ate at the café on two occasions and found the food good value and tasty. Not a massive selection but it was a nice surprise (given other reviews) to find that we could sit on the cafe balcony and enjoy a drink and meal as the sun set. Staff were all lovely and coped well with our limited Spanish. A great base to explore the Picos mountains and lakes (although we wish we had been able to avoid August as town and surroundings were exceptionally busy).

Nice, modern hotel in Asturian style. Large room and bathroom. Good lighting - which you need because the small window makes the room a bit dark. The view from that window is great. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to upgrade to a suite, because they seem to have an observatory with good view. Restaurant was closed, but the Caféteria offered a select choice of good food. Breakfast in the charming large room with view on the mountains was the best we had in over two dozen good spanish hotels!

Location is not bad, by car you easily reach all the hotspots of the region and the town with good restaurants etc. But by foot the town is not very good to get to. It's only 15 minutes walk, but the part directly leading up to the hotel is either a dark road or a dark shortcut.

Spatious and clean room with beautiful view of the city. When we arrived, the fridge was not working but this issue was immediately fixed. Nice!

When we entered the room the smell of the cleaning products(smelled like bleach) was too strong. Not really a minus because is nice to know the cleaning was done :), but also not a very nice first impression either.

Quiet location on a hill overlooking this bustling vacation town. Rooms very large, clean and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful, recommended excellent restaurants. Breakfast copious, fresh and delicious. Nice bar on a balcony overlooking the town and mountains, great for an evening apéro.

Housekeeping a little lax…made the bed but did not replace coffee capsules, or even the crushed paper cup in the bath. Other than that, no issues.

The location and view from the hotel are beautiful. Breakfast is amazing with lots of fresh homemade products to choose from. Staff and owners are very kind and helpful and do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The room was very spacious. Great parking space that is covered.

Everything was great. Too bad the hotel does not have a restaurant but the owner said this might change in the future. A 15 minute walk to the center of Cangas de Onis and you have restaurants to choose from.

Location, just outside of Cangas. Junior suite is huge, with comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast, with great attention to detail. Coffee and tea in the room. Airco in the room did require daily intervention by the staff to keep it going, but it is effective and not too noisy.

It’s not really a hotel anymore: no bar, no restaurant, no laundry service - and the presentation on their own website and booking does not fully reflect this. I found it a bit sterile.

The hotel has a beautiful view of Cangas de Onis. The room was nice and clean, and was very spacious as well. There is a terrace from which to enjoy the views, did I mention they are great?! Staff is very helpful with recommendations for dinner in town.

There was no restaurant at the time of our visit and going to town is a 5 minute drive. We arrived by motorcycle and it was drizzling, luckily it cleared up a little when we went for dinner.

The views were stunning, very friendly staff checking us in, good room with comfortable bed.

Bathroom in the room was basic, poor toliet paper, like a toilet in a service station. No complintary bottles of water in the room, no welcome back, very basic indeed. Views are sublime, but if they charged a little bit more I would be happy to pay for the basic necessities whilst staying

The hotel room was fabulous with a large comfortable bed. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. The room and public areas were spotless.

The hotel bar and restaurant were closed during our stay. The walk into town is over 15 minutes down a wooded road. The tv had no english language stations.

Nice hotel in a good location. The stay was very early season and the restaurant was only available for breakfast. However there are plenty of restaurants a short walk away and one evening we ordered in pizzas that we ate on the terrace. Covered parking on site. Breakfast exceptional.
