NH Campo Cartagena

Ideal for short stay during festivals when there are late starts & even later finishes! Always clean & comfortable. On check out the young male receptionist was very friendly and efficient, he even recognised that we were going to return later in the week.

Unfortunately on this occasion when we checked in during the afternoon, the young female receptionist seemed rather aloof, very brusque and struggled to be gracious on 3 different occasions. As an example, when we needed to enquire how to access to WiFi connection passwords etc, she seemed quite belittling. Wifi access details had not been provided, neither were they in the room. Her attitude was so out of character compared with numerous previous NH Campo experiences over the years.

I booked this hotel as we had a car and it had plenty of parking. The hotel is out of the main tourist area and in a very local (and sometimes dirty) area but it still felt safe enough to walk around even at night. The hotel is very modern and clean and my husband enjoyed using the facilities at the gym. Our room was comfortable and clean with a nice bathroom and it overlooked the nearby park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a big supermarket next door and walking distance to a Carrefour and Burger King. We walked into the centre of Cartagena and it was about a 25-30mins walk, a bit further to the port area. Check the opening times of the attractions though as everything was closed late Sunday and Monday during our stay. We drove to Cala Cortina, a beautiful little beach only about 5kms from the hotel, would definitely recommend a visit if you have a car.

The hotel was lovely & very clean. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, coffee maker, kettle, mini bar etc. A refreshing water drink was available at the reception on arrival, which was a nice touch.

It was too far out of the centre for us unfortunately. There were no other restaurants, cafes, bars etc nearby, although it was handy to have a supermarket beside it. The bar in the hotel could have been better but did not have enough of the spirit that I was drinking for a second drink. We also could only find one TV channel that was English speaking, which was a shame, as we like to chill out before going out in the evening.

The staff, led by Dana and Amparo, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. And the food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. I was so impressed with my experience at this hotel that I'm already planning a return trip to Cartagena, and of course, I'll be staying at this hotel again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in Cartagena. Perfect for a few days' stay and excellent value for money. Spacious room (for the price), with all amenities from Krups coffee maker to powerful blowdryer, minibar, large smart TV. Comfortable (and bouncy) bed, silent air-conditioning and nicely soundproofed. The staff was pleasant, helpful and polite as well. Location is 20-30 minutes walk from the city center, which for us was a plus.

While the mattress was very good, the pillows were mediocre. Honestly, it was the only detail we weren't impressed with.

I recently stayed at the hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their rooms. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities one would expect from a top-notch hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were fresh and clean. The bathroom was also spotless, with plenty of towels and toiletries

There was a very good choice of breakfast items. The location is a little away from everything. The neighbourhood is slightly run down. It felt safe to walk around

Very little information was provided at check in. Had to ask where breakfast was served. Also in the morning when I asked for directions, I felt that the person on the desk couldn’t be bothered

Quiet place, nice receptionists. We got all information and services we requested.

Quite far from the historical center, The parquet in the room with large spaces between the boards, right at the entrance.

The room was very clean. The breakfast had a lot of options to pick from and everything was fresh. The staff was nice and helpful. Lots of parking space around the hotel without the need of paying

The only small issue was the air conditioning that was quite cold and couldn't be changed. It takes 15/20 min walking to go the center but the road is fine and there is a big mercadona next to the hotel if you want to get some food.

Room was big and bed was comfortable. Breakfast also good quality for price

Location is not so nice but you can park the car inside the private parking if you pay for it. It is hard to find something I didn't like to be honest.
