Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime

The pool was awesome. The views from the pool area were great as well. The drinks from the bar area were delicious. We also enjoyed having a patio off of our room.

The service by the bar near the pool were extremely rude and they took forever to help out. We didn't like that there were no views from our patio/room.

The property was beautiful! It was much better than we had thought/imagined especially from the photos. We we’re definitely pleasantly surprised. The pool was amazing, with a special view over looking the local beach. The pool had a restaurant/bar right beside it which made a day at the pool even more enjoyable. Waiters would come and bring drinks to your lounger which felt 5 star as you didn’t have to move! Food must be eaten at the restaurant which is fine as it’s a 30 second walk from the pool. Food was lovely, great value for money. Pool towels were given each day too. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were standard, nothing too special but always clean and comfortable enough. Rooms are NOT soundproof and you could hear everything going on outside the room. All in all a very positive experience. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was more than we expected when booking it. The room was clean and really spacious, with all the amenities. Very friendly staff, a nice swimming pool and a parking where we could charge our electric car (in the basement parking space). Breakfast was delicious. Reception runs 24/7 and there is also spa service. We will definitely be back.

The bathroom had a smell from the sewers, but nothing that we couldn't stand. Keep in mind that you probably need a car to get around as it about 20 minute drive from the center.

The terrace had a stunning view which added to the experience of our stay. Our room was large and nicely furnished with comfortable beds. I was very impressed with the buffet breakfast, there was a very large selection of things to have and everything was delicious so would highly recommend this. The pool is a good size and has incredible views all around. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The only downside was that you have to get a taxi to the beach and train station as there didn't seem to be a walking path down the hill.

Good place where to stay for a couple of nights, close to airport, walking distance to the beach and public transport ( 15min ) . Large comfortable rooms, large bathroom with a bath, super clean The staff at the bar and at breakfast is super nice. Really nice view from the pool area. Good place for 1 or 2 nights but wouldn't stay longer.

You can't really let the curtains open as some rooms are facing each others and there is little privacy. Our room was facing the breakfast restaurant as well as other rooms. It can be noisy . You can hear everything from the rooms next door and from the corridor.

Location superb, garden beautiful, towels provided for pool area appreciated and the main hotel, the original parts absolutely stunning!!

Would have liked to have had more proactive waiting on staff to come to and take our order - also free water provided in the room would be preferable and kettle to make own drinks. A room dedicated as a shower room for the day we left as our flight wasn’t until 22:00 Our main upset: most of all would have liked the 5am noise to have stopped - loud talking - relentless from 5am every morning through to 7:30am - I expect this affect rooms 157,159 and 161 - did mention it at desk but no improvement

Beautiful location, views over Castelldefels and gorgeous outdoor pool. Really relaxing stay. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

They didn't explain about the indoor pool access or cost, which is missed opportunity. Breakfast pricing was a bit random. Varied from €12 to €15 depending on who you spoke to, but cost €14.40 each? The hill would be difficult for some as it is very steep in places, although we liked the exercise!

Food in the restaurant was excellent. We tried the restaurants on the beach, and it was good but expensive. The hotel main restaurant was better value for money and actually better food! Staff were very helpful, very smooth experience

Room was a little basic and not what I was expecting vs. the photo on the website for the price I chose, but I didn't care too much once I was so happy with the rest of the hotel.

Overall it is a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in old side of this hotel so had a more romantic room decorated in traditional Spanish style. Room was cleaned every day so fresh towels and bedsheets were a good bonus. Great view which we had to upgrade and pay more for of course, but it was worth it. Breakfast nice and pleasant, good coffee

Room could be cleaned more thoroughly. Dusty lampshades and headboards , mould on shower screen and small ants visited our room sometimes but bed linen was put all the time clean, clean glasses and new toiletries given. You have to pay for SPA and it is 18,50€ per person for 1 hr which I think is a bit pricey but you have slippers to keep.

stayed twice within the same month location: quiet, up in the hills, away from the hustle of the maritime roads and plentiful hotels reception employees: especially the gentleman who used to work for Formula 1 before and went an extra mile to accommodate our requests the other gentlemen who were extremely friendly and with the high level of English proficiency

difference between old and new part in terms of facilities: no WiFi in the old part of the hotel and poor AC. Some rooms are without AC but just loud air flow bringing no air at all absence of kettle which was sorted out by very pleasant housekeeper from Philippines
