Hotel Vistamar by Pierre & Vacances

The hotel is overlooking Portocolom bay, a perfect vantage point to see all the activity of boats coming and going. Rooms have been recently refurbished and mine was just perfect. The bathroom was very adequate. Reception is spacious and staff very welcoming. Breakfast is included and situated in the building opposite. Each morning there was a wide variety of food available - fruits, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, juices, hot foods - boiled & friends eggs, bacon, sausages, etc and a chef was on standby to cook an omelette if desired. There were also plenty of pastries - Danish, croissants etc and pancakes and churros. The coffee machines ‘cafe con leche’ wasn’t far off what you’d expect from a good barista. I couldn’t rate this highly enough.

The weather had picked up and outside temperatures were up to 25C by day. The rooms was a little warm as a result and AC would have been welcome. Mine didn’t seem to work. That said it wasn’t a serious issue and I didn’t ask at the desk.

Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Good location and great value for money.

There was something wrong with the cleaning staff. They always came and made the bed but they didnt change the towels which were on the floor or the dirty glasses. We had to ask reception specifically for these. A lot of things cost extra money. For example, if you want to use the safe in the room you have to pay 3 euros per day. Beach towels are to rent for 5 euros per day. I find it a bit weird for a hotel which has 4 stars.

had to pay for beach towels and housekeeping did not do a great job of cleaning room during stay. did not refresh towels and rehung the towels I put on the floor.

Missing a water-cooker on the room

Our honeymoon was absolutely amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful, calm and quiet so if you want to relax, this is the perfect place to stay. There are a few beaches and amazing restaurant near by. Both swimming pools are amazing to spend the day or after the beach. Breakfast was good. The room was clean every day. We had an amazing time and it was exactly what we were looking for after a stressful period planning our wedding. We were so tired and just needed a few days to chill.

Wi-Fi especially in the evening was crap and pool hours could be extended. It closed too early for a hot place where the sun still out until 21h,22h.

Check-in was easy and pleasant. The room was large and bright and had good size balcony with table and chairs. The room was well-equipped and clean. I had requested a kettle int he room when I booked, and when I asked Reception it was provided quickly. The hotel is in a great location at the end of the bay and is really quiet. Breakfast was well-stocked with a great selection that varied day to day. Portocolom itself is beautiful, totally peaceful and has a great little beach the other side of the bay. There are lots of little inlets nearby and water is crystal clear. Great little cafe about 5 mins walk around the bay from the hotel, that looks out over the bay. I would definitely stay here again

The stay was excellent and comfortable. At first, they gave us the wrong room, it was in a different building and it wasn't the one we had previously booked here, we talked and they resolved the situation at the reception desk. Excellent quality for the price. Breakfast had a lot of options

For me, what could be improved is the opening hours of the pool, which closes at 7 pm and could stay at least until the sun goes down. Also, the A/C is central so it is not very cool, for the very hot summer days it may not be enough.

The staff were super friendly and helpful! The hotel location and cleanliness was great and the view was stunning over the harbour :) I liked the amount of choice at breakfast too! The pool was great and we never struggled to get a sunbed either.

The sunbeds around the pool were pretty uncomfortable after a long period of time and there weren't enough umbrellas for shade. The pool bar was generally great but the ice creams weren't restocked the whole 8 days we were there and ended up with very little choice.

The hotel had a varied breakfast and daily cleaning.

The schedule at the pool is short because at 19:00 it's still sunny and we would have liked to stay at least another hour. Another very important issue is the fact that you can hear everything from one room to another. We had a question about the resort tax, we paid and the receptionist said it wasn't, but she didn't have time to find out because she had other people to accommodate and we managed to clear the tax issue with those booking, talking on the phone the next day for a few hours. I would have liked to have been available to solve the problem at the reception. It was an unpleasant situation, and there were 2 people at the reception, and the lady could support us.

Our seven-day stay in late August was one of the best hotel experiences we had recently. Our room was clean, spacious, with a perfect balcony and a fine view of the sea. It was cleaned everyday, while the bed was comfortable and just right. The bathroom was spacious and the hairdryer very good. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, had a large variety of food, both warm and cold, savory and sweet, so they were well worth the money and we would always recommend them. In case you need a fizzy drink or alcohol during dinner, you pay additionally, but water and juice are free of charge. The staff was welcoming and friendly, as we arrived late and missed our first dinner at the hotel, they even went on to leave us some food and sweets in the room to freshen up after arriving at 3 AM. The location of the hotel is great, some 10 minutes of walking away from a beautiful beach called Cala Mascal. Parking is available for free on all streets around the hotel and we always managed to find a place to park easily. It may seem a bit pricey, but we would definitely come back to this hotel. It is well worth it.

Everything was great, though the working hours of the pools could be extended. It did not bother us, since we spent most of our time at the beach. Moreover, the refrigerator in the room could be filled with drinks and snacks and serve as a mini bar, but that's just a suggestion. Juices during breakfast and dinner were a bit watery and could be of better quality. Prices of drinks in the machine in the lobby and the pool bar are a bit too high.
