Sercotel Calle Mayor

Sercotel Calle Mayor is a great place: modern rooms with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom, friendly staff and delicious breakfast with made to order egg dishes. The building is a beautifully renovated old building in the quiet side of the city centre. They offer (paid) private underground parking.

A lovely boutique hotel, the room was large with fantastic high ceilings and an excellent bathroom with a huge walk-in shower. Buffet breakfast was very good, with a full spread of options. The location is excellent, just a few minutes into the main streets with bars and restaurants. The hotel has its own private garage which makes parking easy - although the ramp to take you underground is fairly tight!

When we arrived to check-in, two members of staff were dealing with one group of customers. When one of the staff members broke away, they left Reception rather than moving on to yourselves. This meant we probably waited about 5 minutes to actually check-in.

Very nice, friendly staff at Reception. One of the female staff spoke very good English and all of them were pleasant. Everything was clean and as it should be. The design and general appearance was good.

I was sure I booked a room with a bath tub, but unfortunately there was only a shower. As we were only there for one night, I didn't bother complaining. To get to the hotel one has to pass through a street which looks a bit rough, with some graffiti and whatnot. We did not feel unsafe but it seems that street is not the most attractive in the town. Nevermind, I've lived in worse areas and nobody can call me a snob.

The location was excellent, the building was lovely, and the staff were very helpful. The service for the cooked (egg) dishes at breakfast was also very good. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable.

The notice about how to reach the hotel during festival street closures said the closures would only begin at 17:00, but the streets were already closed when we arrived several hours earlier, leading to a substantial delay and frustration getting to the hotel. (They also could have specifically mentioned that there was a festival on the day of our arrival instead of sending a more generic message.) The selection at the breakfast was somewhat limited compared to other hotels in a similar price range, and one of the coffee machines appeared to be out of service for our entire stay.

Fantastic location in the centre of the Old Quarter of Logrono. Room was massive & beautifully decorated (as was the rest of the hotel). Shower was the best we've ever had! Staff were friendly, online check in saves time on arrival. Parking was extra but very convenient.

The festival of San Matteo was on while we were there which we hadn't realised. The hotel did warn us but only a day or two in advance & it was too late to change our plans then had we wanted to. The festival was great fun, it goes on for a week every year but it did mean road closures en-route to the Calle Mayor (hotel warned us, & told us how to get around them) & it was noisy with party goers until about 5am! I would avoid Logrono on this particular week if you like peace & quiet!

The location is as central as it gets. The hotel is very modern, our room (family suite) was very spacious, quiet and comfy and clearly exceeded expectations. Breakfast was also very nice. The hotel has its own parking garage (18€ per night), which is cheaper than the nearest public parking (25€ per night). Altogether a great choice and we would definitely stay there again!

1. We had to wait about 10 minutes for checking in as there were some other guests waiting before us. Why is it not possible in digitalized times to do a full automated check-in without the need to stand in a queue? 2. The parking garage is extremely narrow. so one needs to be extremely careful not to damage/scratch your car when driving in/out!

Very helpful staff. We had clear information about how to park prior to our stay and the receptionist was very helpful. The hotel was in the heart of the old town. The building had preserved historic features but the rooms were modern and stylish. A large and elegant bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. Would stay here again.

It doesn’t have refreshment facilities but as it is in the heart of the old town, there are many bars etc close to the hotel.

This classy modern hotel is in a quiet street but very close to the eating precincts. We had a premium double room - large, modern & light. Plenty of storage, large bathroom with spa & modern amenities. Large bed very comfortable. Secure wifi. Also provided a complimentary half bottle of very good red wine (Crianza). Breakfast very good quality, plentiful & big range. Staff excellent, helpful & friendly.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, utilizing the old stone steps and ceilings vigas (wood beams) while also modernizing the lobby and rooms with lovely furnishings and a great rain shower faucet in the bathroom. The room was spacious, kept clean and the staff was very helpful with suggestions for visiting Logrono, which we loved! The parking option was very near and convenient. We appreciated the discount.

I would like to have had a coffee maker in the room.
