Casual del Teatro Madrid

Ammar was friendly and overall wonderful! He took care of us! Location was top-notch! Walking distance to so many wonderful places to eat. Hotel was clean and you can request for a hot water pot. Breakfast was the best with many selections. I was quite touched that Ammar informed the staff during bfast that it was my birthday and they greeted me with a cake and candle. Thank you!!!

We stayed in this hotel twice (first stop in Spain and last stop before we headed home). Our first room was ok but it didn't have all the amenities of our second stay like liquid body soap, liquid hand soap and lotion. During our first stay, we only had small shampoo bottles and tiny soaps that were not even enough for us to bathe on. Our second room on the other hand had big dispensers of shampoo, liquid soap, hand soap and lotion.

the room was clean, good beds, nice shower, big TV, silent. situated in the center of madrid, close to facilitys, and a very great breakfast !!!

let me be very critical, just a few pinprics: the toilet is a little bit to close at the shower wall. Long people do not fit nice on it. the elevator is very slow and narrow the TV is great but for international people there are only spanisch programs. That can better. We see more and more smart tv in hotels. Then we can use the internet for everything in our own language. And stream from the telephone to the tv.

The hotel is really charming with the thematic theater decorations, it's around the corner from plenty of real theaters, which is amazing. The room well decorated, no huge size, but comfortable enough, Shakespeare room is one of the best, specially during summer (i assume). Breakfast is fare, good options. But mostly the localization is perfect, you can walk to the main touristic point's but also get a bus or metrô real easy. From airport also good deal has a fast bus from/to Cibelle square - Airport (in November 2022 €5/person). On top of everything the staff! They're all nice and helpful, always smiling willing to give the best tips where to eat, which direction to take, and caring to help us out holding our luggage before and after check in/out. Definitely they all deserve a big thank you! We totally recommend the hotel and return! hopefully soon.

Coffee machine with problems. Some rooms present humidity damaged in the walls. Shower was a bit funny.

The room was very nice, with functioning air conditioning, clean towels and bed linen, comfortable beds and a clean, nice bathroom, quite spacious considering the lower price. The whole vibe was very cozy, with mirror not only in the bathroom but also in the room itself. There was also a shower gel, body milk and shampoo provided, and bottled water awaited us at the table. The service was very fine, we could just pick up the phone and call to get more water or use doorhangers to let the cleaning service know we didn't want to be disturbed. The staff was very nice and helpful, ready to explain anything we needed. The breakfast was 6,50 a person, which was really really good price for Madrid - it was in a form of a buffet, with many options - smashed eggs, ham, meat, baguettes and toast bread, croissant and other different pastries. There were also juices, coffee, milk, cereals, butter, jam and honey provided. The view from the terrace on the 5th floor, where the breakfast is served was beautiful, and the breakfast lasted long enough for anyone who likes to sleep longer or wake up sooner, from 7 to 11 am. The location was also superb, only a few minutes walk from metro station, supermarket, restaurants or sights such as Puerta del Sol or the Neptune Fountain.

Very good hotel for the money. I was impressed that the building has its own history and each room is unique. The architectural ensemble has been preserved and each room has its own piece of history that you can touch. The man at the reception told us about the history, showed us a map of the city, and answered our questions, which made our trip much easier. I will definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to my friends.

I really liked the detail of the rooms, set to different plays. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms comfortable, although some friends stayed in a rather small room. The reception is 24 hours and they helped us with whatever we needed.

The rooms have small wardrobes, this forced us to use our suitcases to keep our clothes tidy. Some friends were in a room that didn't have a closet at all, which made it a bit awkward for them to move around the room, because the spaces were taken up by luggage.

The hotel is in a very good location close to Sol metro, in the heart of Madrid.. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great with plenty of items both sweet and savory. It was enough for us to start off the day. The staff was friendly.

The room was noisy at night however it is expected being in the center of Madrid. The curtains in our room did not close completely thus we had to improvise in order to keep the room dark since the shutters did not work.

The location, quirkiness of the hotel and individuality. The guy on reception went into detail about the history of the hotel and was attentive. Every staff member was polite and came across they enjoyed working there and it wasn't just a job. Perfect location, easily accessible, less than 5 min walk from Sol which is a lovely affluent area.

The shower could be better and the breakfast choice was limited in options.

Excellent location within walking distance of all the main attractions. Metro is within easy reach too. A safe area if you are walking late at night. Lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby. Lovely breakfast with a fine view.

Room was a bit small with not much storage space. It would have been tight for two people. Walls are thin - you can hear all your neighbours!

Location was great because it was in the middle of everything In city center to walk too. It can be a little noisy from the street at night but I was expecting that as trade off for location. Staff was nice and helpful.

Water pressure with hot water was low but not unusual in older buildings. Still acceptable. Some minor Mantenance items could be fixed but also not uncommon if you like to stay in places that have character.
