A very good 5 star hotel. Facilities and rooms in the hotel were very good as were the excellent staff. The bar is lovely and the drinks excellent. Breakfast was very good with hot dishes cooked to order - although on one day they took forever to arrive.

Location is not great - very much up a side alley. We appreciate the literary connections but . . . Paying extra for a room with a view is basically pointless as there was no view to speak of - only of the hostel opposite. For such a lot of money - Euro 1500 for two nights - I did not appreciate being charged Euro 5 for coffee in the room. Although when I remarked on it it was immediately removed. That is a small matter but why was it there in the first place . . .

Hotel - amazing! It's hard to believe this is the oldest hotel in Madrid. The renovations that were completed make the space feel modern but still pay tribute to the history. Rooms - amazing! Very clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Location - amazing! Walking distance to many interesting neighborhoods, excellent restaurants and bars Staff - amazing! Incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. I would be remiss if I didn't specifically mention Alex at the bar. His cocktails are true works of art, and the conversations were even better. Thank you all for a truly wonderful stay. We have found a new home away from home when we travel to Madrid.

The breakfast was excellent with many choices of hot dishes and great fruit. The quality of the bedding was excellent and the bathroom was great as well.

So our room had fresh flowers, a welcome cake and cookies and then there was a charge of 3 euros for one cup of coffee or tea. For such a beautiful hotel with exceptional customer service this charge was really unbelievable.

The hotel really is superb from the location to the rooms, breakfast to health suite. The staff make it though - they are a credit to the property and we would certainly stay again.

The only one negative is the coffee and tea in the room is charged. When you are paying considerable money for a stay in a top hotel, at the very least the basic in room drinks should be included!!!

Very friendly staff, clean and stylish rooms, great location. You always feel welcome at this hotel and every with is fulfilled. Thanks to the team for the great week we spent at Hotel Ingles.

Service at the Bar/Restaurant, unattentiv. Waitress would rather talk for 15 min. Instead of bringing the bill. Sitting in front of empty plates for ages.

The location is perfect although at first we were a bit concerned about it being in a back alley. But it turned out the Barrio Las Letras is such a vibrant area with many restaurants and bars and everything is a short walking distance away. The hotel is fantastic in terms of service. once I asked about having churros in the hotel lobby and was informed that they don’t serve churros in summer. But then he went to buy some for me and surprised me with it. Thanks to Javier, Rachel and Lorena who are very helpful. The room was comfortable. We stayed in the junior suite. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning works well. Shower is great. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The shower which has marble floor and wall get discolored after some time. I think tiles would look cleaner.

Beautiful hotel hidden away in the center of the city. The communication before the stay with the hotel was great, and they were able to have our room ready for an early check in which was really nice. The staff were attentive and kind, and the reception on the day we arrived made us feel very welcome with a welcome dessert in the room. The hotel was also able to arrange a taxi and afternoon tea reservation, and the bartender Alex was amazing and so knowledgeable about all the drinks he serves. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Madrid.

Very modern rooms and grest location. The staff is generally very friendly.

The food service is disappointing. You arrive at the hotel, pay 600 euros per night and like to order some food and drinks in the lobby/restaurant. Nobody would care you are there, nobody would even look at you. Once you go up to the bar to tell them you like to order it still takes 5 minutes for them to come by. In total it took 2 hours to get a snack and this almost everytime. On the other hand there are 2 concierges standing around the entrance all day opening doors which no one needs. The food, once you manage to get it, is fantastic by the way.

Everything was beautiful, the staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating! Once you walk in through their doors, you were absolutely greeted with a warm smile. The rooms were comfy and extremely quiet at night even though there are a few clubs/bars on the same street.

The hotel doesn't have any parking available specifically for the hotel but it didn't really matter to us bc we didn't drive. (It was a bit of a nightmare for us when we were at Bilbao and we drove)

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, within walking distance from popular attractions and museums, restaurants and cafes, but at the same time on a quiet, calm street. The hotel has its own rich, interesting history and traditions. Service, staff and attitude to their visitors at the highest level. Comfortable clean room with everything you need. In the evening, you can enjoy wonderful live music in the hotel restaurant in a cozy atmosphere. I want to thank the hotel staff for helping to organize a surprise for my husband's birthday.

The air conditioning ducts are located in the area of ​​​​the bed, so for the comfort of sleep, it was necessary to set the intensity of the air conditioner to a minimum. Also, a little disappointed was the lack of a bidet and a toilet brush in the bathroom.
