Te old style, the climate control (specially with this murder of a heat wave going on), the gorgeous breakfast dining hall ;the reception hangouts with coffee, tea and water available, the virtually perfect location and, over all, the staff. They were positively lovely and attentive. The rooms were fantastically quiet, way better than modern hotel rooms.

The elevator was quite small and slow, but maybe that couldn’t be helped and is understandably welded to the overall look of this classic building. Also true for the reception elevator, but same thing. So actually barely worth to mention anything.

The location is convenient as a lot of points of interest are in the close vicinity and there are also plenty of options for public transportation nearby. My booking was special offer so I got the spacy corner room, but I guess also the other rooms are big enough to feel comfortable. The staff was friendly. Breakfast is good with a lot of options both for meat and cheese lovers and for vegetarians.

The only minor thing I've noticed during my stay is that the staff is very busy and so they did not manage to bring away the dishes when the people leave after breakfast, and the next guests sometimes need to wait for the table.

The property is near the Sol Station so also near all the shopping streets. A cross the street is Starbucks and TGI Fridays. Around the corner is VIPS Restaurants which has a great food selection to offer. If you like Hop On Hop Off Buses there is a close by Bus Station Right away from the Tour Bus CITY TOUR MADRID. Like a 5min a walk. The Property has super friendly Staff. Pablo was a real good help booking us a taxi in advance going to the airport. The room is super spacious, we had a room for 6 Adults. A wonderful view looking out of the window. The Breakfast is super great, it was a wonderful view. And friendly staff.

The floors starting 6th there is not a lot of space if you have a stroller or big luggages. Going out of the elevator was a struggle to be honest. The bathroom is huge which super nice BUT when you showered the water was clogged. In the middle of the night you would hear when someone on the top floor would take a shower or flush the toilet. The walls are super thin. I was bit worried that all of a sudden water would drip down. The air conditioner war right above our head which was not that great.

We go to Madrid often and always stay in this hotel because it is very central. Most attractions are easy to walk to. However, it also has great breakfasts in a lovely, large, sunny room. All the staff we have met are very professional but also friendly. On this trip we had one or two minor problems with our room but they were sorted quickly and efficiently. Thalía and Esther at reception were wonderful. We cannot wait to return.

I saw a very small cloud for a few minutes one day.

We only had one night transfer time in Madrid and were looking for a hotel in a convenient location. We don't aim for luxury stay, we are there to explore the city. The hotel was just perfect for that purpose- we took public airport bus and walked from the city station to the hotel. Especially we want to mention the very nice and helpful staff. Also storing our luggage was no problem at the next morning. We will come back to explore the city some more days! The location was also in walking distance to the hop-on-hop-off sightseeing bus- the only thing we could do before we needed to go back to the airport.

There was nothing to complain. We only had 1 night and this was just a stopover in Madrid. We made the best out of it and would also stay longer in this place for a city trip.

Hotel is located in an old building right in the main square of Madrid, which has been renovated recently. Breakfast was really good and there's a beautiful view from the breakfast room. Staff was very attentive and made sure that we were happy during our stay. Good AC, clean room and comfortable beds.

You have to change 2 elevators to get to your room (which we didnt mind at all) and elevators are small but its totally worth it given the location of the hotel, right in one of the main Plazas of Madrid.

The Location and the breakfast (food, drinks, and location) were outstanding. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was good (not overexciting, but we also didn't expect it to be).

We didn't manage to get a second blanket (apparently because the place was so booked out that they didn't have any spare blankets left).

Quiet room, no traffic noise despite the room faced the main street. The shower was nice and featured a very good horizontal water massage function. The breakfast room is a marvellous spot with great views onto the impressive buildings around.

The water faucet of the bath room sink was not well fixed, this should have been obvious to anyone cleaning/settting the room, but upon submitting a message, it was fixed the same day. When entering the room the tv antenna cable was unplugged. The elevators are so small that at most 2 people fit in. The great breakfast room closes after 11 and only the small lobby on the first floor is available for encounters. A real pity. The toilet bowl is nicely designed, but its flush is not effective.

Everything! The location couldn't be better, literally 5 minutes walking to Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía. The breakfast was superb, and the breakfast place has beautiful views. The room was huge with beautiful views of Madrid. They welcomed us with a nice note and 2 bottles of water which was quite nice. We will definitely use them again when travelling to Madrid.

The only thing we didn't like about our room is that the soundproof wasnt great and we could hear everything from the room next to us.

The location was great. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was clean and well managed. While the rooms were relatively small, they accommodated our request to give us 2 out of 3 rooms together. They also allowed an earlier check in for one of the rooms.

Rooms and bathrooms were a bit tight. Housekeeping was done unless asked for.
