NH Madrid Chamberí

Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Good amount of space. There’s a mini bar cooler that I was able to fit some of my own drinks inside. The AC works very well. It was quiet for the most part. Wifi was consistent throughout the hotel and even if you stood outside. Next door to a small grocery store and a few minutes walk from places to get food, bars, and I believe a nightclub or two. Felt very safe walking around late at night. Love that after a certain time the doors to the hotel don’t automatically open and that there’s only one entrance for people to go through. The snacks and drinks in the lobby were a nice touch. It was a very good experience and I’ll be back when I’m in Madrid again.

Either there was construction being done or someone with kids, but at 8 or 9 am there was a hammering noise

The booking was a disaster. Two days before we left I realised that a room with 2 single beds had been booked twice by Booking. This was by looking at my bank account. Two rooms had been booked at exactly the same time and on the same day. I tried to email Booking but there was no reply. The web site was down and I couldn't find a telephone number to contact Booking. The web site was down. There was an automated reply telling me to contact the hotel. I telephoned them to explain the mistake but stated that I needed to contact Booking to ask for a refund as I only booked one room.

The rooms are really spacious, direct sun light and a perfect black out so we could sleep perfectly. Room service is excellent, good and plenty of food. The breakfast was too simple for what they charge for it. However, they do have options for celiacs which made my days easier.

The door frames were chipped all around the room, bath's included.

Great hotel for a quick stay. Big beds, good air con and a very good sized room. Would certainly stay again.

There looked to be a very nice restaurant attached however, sadly, it never appeared to be open. Not a negative but this hotel is about a 40-minute walk from the old city. Didn't bother us at all but worth knowing.

A small, but very clean and cosy hotel. The reception stuff was excellent, especially Cristina. The breakfast was the same every day, but the choice was quite large, so the meals could be alternated. The hostess was extremely pleasant as well. Overall a very good value for money.

The sound isolation between adjoining rooms could be better.

The property was immaculate throughout, the bedroom was spot on. We travelled with a group of us and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be close but not too close to the Santiago Bernabeu! The rainfall shower was a lovely way to wake up! Great street of bars for food and drinks just around the corner & a small supermarket right next door!

Very friendly staff, good location (only couple of minutes to metro). There is a supermarcet store just close to the hotel. Double superior room was ok. Standard single room was toooo small without Windows.

Location is excellent, you can walk to many places in town and the choice of bars and restaurants around the hotel is endless.

In terms of facilities I always like if there's a gym, but I knew beforehand that they don't have any and I was happy with it.

The locaton in Chamberi is near the famous Ponzano street with many outdoor cafes. The bathroom was large, clean, and had shelves to hold toiletries. Our room was quiet, away from the street.

Our door card keys were cut-off early on the morning we were leaving. At 11 am when we went to our room to retrieve our luggage, neither card worked.

It’s a nice hotel with good rooms! The staff is friendly and the location is great.

My room wasn’t really clean unfortunately. When I arrived there was litter from other people and a sticky stain on the floor.
