Occidental Castellana Norte

The accommodation was close to public transport with a bus right out front that took you into the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of great reccomendations for sight seeing and how to get around. We were also lucky enough to be the VIP guests of the day and got 2 delicious cookies and some drink vouchers for the hotel bar. The breakfast at the hotel was 10/10! The bed was large and very comfortable. Great place to stay and will definitely reccomend!

Only thing of note is that the free drink tokens for the bar were misleading. The tokens have a picture of a cocktail on them, but only water or soft drink can be redeemed. Everything else was fantastic.

A great hotel, with a great conexion to the city center. In front of the hotel there is a bus who will let you in the city center. It is very often, the price for one way is 1,5Euro (you pay at the driver, but the maximum that he will changed is 5 euro, so better have some coins), but pay attention that you will need a mask and be in the station so that the driver can stop (other wise the bus will not stop). The station from the hotel is the first one and you will go until the last one to arrived in the center (aprox. 1h). Also the metro is close (7minutes by walk) and the value of the tickets depend on the area you selecte to go. You can find some great local bars near and people are very nice. You can hear the nose from out side in the morning, but this do not bother us very much, because we woke up and stay out in the city center all day.

Train station 5 minute walk from hotel. The hotel was modern and clean. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. Breafast was great. Good value for money

Everything. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was bright, modern, clean, quiet, everything worked and a hand held clothes steamer came in very useful. The breakfast was ample, varied, with hot and cold choices, freshly squeezed OJ, good coffee, lunch was a good value, tasty menu del dia and dinner had a varied menu of pastas, pizzas, burger, salads, etc. The taxi request service was speedy.

The location wasn’t wonderful, but we chose it due to its nearness to Chamartin train station

The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Internet access was free. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Room had space for a desk. The hotel is not too far from the airport or city centre by public transportation.

It was a bit too pricey especially since breakfast was not included and that was unfortunately. No mini-bar in the room. Drinks had to be purchased in the front desk or ordered for delivery to the room. The location of the hotel is not particularly attractive.

The reception was friendly and quick, the room clean and spacious. There's a relax chair in the room and the bed was just perfect. Big, clean, a choice of good pillows. The bar and dining room are small but cosy and staff is friendly, food is good. Breakfast very good. Wifi is high speed! There is everything you need in the bathroom, toothbrushes, paste, lotion, vanity kit, hair dryer etc.

The shower had no power :) and the lighting in the room is either too bright or not enough; an extra light for creating ambiance would be good.

Amazing receptionist, Ana give us a good information about everything, close, friendly and very professional. Breakfast 10/10 very completed and between the best we have ever had in other hotels (churros with chocolate too ;)) The area takes 15min by car or taxi from the city center, e.g. Malasaña, but the place is quiet and perfect to relax and sleep. There are some shopping centers around. Parking - The hotel has parking area but it is very easy to find a place on the street.

Everything was good

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very well appointed. It was also nice and quiet. We also really enjoyed breakfast (paid for extra).

The bathroom tub didn’t have a plug for bathing. We had two rooms booked for our family and it was like that in both. Not a deal breaker at all, just an observation as one of my kids was looking to have a bath.

Location is not so perfect. Bus stop is very close, but metro stop is about 10 minutes by walk. You can reach centre of Madrid in about half hour with metro. No grocery shops or cafes near (shopping mall near is closed)

the hotel is really close to several bus lines that will travel you to the city center. Also, there is a train stop within 10min walk that can travel to the city center or another metro/train lines and also directly to the airport. The breakfast is really exceptional, and the rooms really comfortable with king size beds.

I would say that I didn’t not like anything, everything was good!
