Hotel Chamartin The One

excellent location, right on Chamartin station with good train connections to other places in Spain but also well connected to central Madrid via cercanias and tube

There were only two pillows and they were quite thin.

near the train station, quiet place, good restaurant and friendly staff

not good pillows, and the shower was not very good, it kept redirecting the tap in the bath

Very close to the airport (10 mins by taxi),and the hotel is literally attached to Chamartin train station. To walk there is 5 mins under the roof.Easy to find. Very comfy bed,excellent breakfast. Unique elevator,have never seen before.Outside you just press the needed floor and one of 4 elevators will arrive to bring you there. All basic needs in the shower room.White bed leenen.No noise from the train station down.All the rooms are with big windows and it is possible to open them to get a fresh air. Fast check in & check out.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

No sound isolation from the other rooms and corridor.The room could be cleaner for 4 stars. Paper cups in the rooms.No glasses.May be remaining from covid times.Complimentary water is 2 bottles by 300 ml.The point is understandable,but I do not think a bottle of 500 ml costs much more,4 stars hotel could let such expenses not to spoil the first impression. All those above are not a big deal,just minor things for an individual ,the others even may not it notice. I had a great night stay and travelled by train rested.

The main reason for the stay here is because this is located directly above a train and metro station. You can literally go anywhere from this hotel. Easy and so convenient. The breakfast options were very good. Likewise for the dinner menu and the price. We got the junior suite and it was a nice room with a patio and a Livingroom and dining table. Huge bed and multiple TV in the room.

The only issue I had was the AC unit was controlled by the hotel. I prefer to sleep in very cold room and because this was controlled by the hotel it was a bit warmer than I prefer.

I was very pleased that they stored a large, heavy duffle bag for me prior to me arrival. The storage fee was reasonable. My room was very clean and spacious. There was plenty of floor space and plenty of closet storage space. The desk surface area was spacious. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The shower was large. I enjoyed 3 dinner meals and the breakfast buffet twice. The buffet offered a nice variety of items for a reasonable price. The common areas were very clean and nicely furnished.

An initial minor inconvenience was what sounded like a skateboard frequently sliding across concrete. I realized it was the trains below the hotel. I wouldn't have expected the clear sounds from up in Room 327 but the hotel is located at the train station so I shouldn't have been surprised. The planned shut off of electricity the night and early morning of my departing flight back to the USA was very inconvenient. I didn't sleep well because the CPAP was unavailable during that time. It wouldn't have been so inconvenient if I didn't have a flight.

Direct rail to the airport and a 16 min ride. Very close to the train station for outgoing trains to the north. Metro as clause as stepping out of the hotel 2 lines crossing at the point. Just a very well connected hotel to all public traffic. I cannot say anything regarding access with the car, but the Plaza Castilla is just around the corner and the main central route to the city.

The entrance to the hotel was kind of hidden. Air-Con was kind of slow, but windows can be opened but traffic sound is limited.

Very attentive staff and friendly service. Breakfast spread is good, although it gets a bit boring after a few days as the menu stays the same. Location is very good, there’s lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Taxi stand is 100m away from the entrance. Train station is 50m away. Fantastic city view from the suite.

My room wasn’t cleared properly the day in. There were leftovers from the previous guest’s stay in the tv/fridge stand. However the cleaning staff rectified it as soon as they were informed. The queen bed wasn’t very comfortable. A tad bit too hard for me personally. Pillows are definitely not the regular sized ones. And the elevator takes some getting used too.

The location is very convenient - it's right at a station where the metro, train, and suburban rail systems all meet. So it's ideal if you are just coming into town for a meeting and then leaving the next day, which we were doing. The rooms were large, modern and clean. The beds were comfortable.

I thought this was primarily catering to business type clients and that we would be able to get our rooms when we arrived which was around 10:30am - at first they said it was not possible but then did finally give us one of the rooms. Neither of the safes in our two rooms worked. They were both dead. Strange We found the rooms very dark - there was no overhead light at all. So at night or early morning, trying to pack was difficult, as was just trying to find things. Despite all my good efforts, there was still a lot of water on the floor after my shower, Surprised this still happens in newer Spanish hotels.

I liked that it was located right at the train station. it made my travel to the airport and around Madrid super convenient.

Although the lobby of the hotel seems updated, the room was not and the design color scheme was off. Paint touch ups were not well done. Some cracks/chips noted. Lighting in room was not great. Room seemed very dim with most light coming from a standing lamp and bed post reading lamps. Very odd. Major light came from outdoor sunlight. The room did have big windows that allowed sunlight in so if I wanted good lighting I had to keep the shades/curtains open. I Don’t think it was worth the value.

staff was not good and supportive and not responsive. i sent a messaged hotel about some instructions but no one ever replied. Also had a worse experience while checkout i forgot some stuff in room fridge and after i realised i called hotel just after 1 hour of checkout but they picked the call and very rude and just said will check and call you back but never received any call. I kept on calling on hotel no. for three days but no one picked the call. finally after 3 days when i came back to madrid i visited hotel and they kept it on reception and stuff was ruined as it was supposed to kept in Fridge. But even when they found the stuff, staff never bothered to call us. This is definitely not a **** four star hotel and i never expected this kind of service.
