Hotel Azar

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is easy to find as it is just off on the main road on the edge of an industrial estate. There was plenty of parking space in front of the hotel. It was not at all noisy and the room very clean. It was a good idea to stay outside Plasencia Town because parking there is rather difficult.

We thought it was rather expensive in comparison with other hotels where we have stayed, considering that the furnishings are quite old fashioned.

An excellent hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff we friendly and helpful from check in and throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Wifi worked very well and parking was easy. Most importantly we had the best meal of our entire four week holiday at the restaurant of this hotel. It was exceptional. Totally encourage anyone staying to try their restaurant!

No negatives, just be aware that it's well out of town so if you want to visit the city you'll need to drive or take the bus!

Easy to find and close to the motorway for the morning start. Rooms well equipped with fridge, air-conditioning and free parking. Reasonable choice for food in the restaurant or cafe and not expensive. All the staff were friendly and the toilet in the cafe was spotless and flowers, a nice touch. Recommend for a stopover.😀

Miss read 5mins from the center, it was a drive but not walkable in the extreme heat.( But that was my fault)

It had all that I required; it was quiet, comfortable and it was also easy to access from the motorway. The view from my room was amazing. The hotel was antiseptic with staff on board to replace tablecloths cutlery etc.

The restaurant was expensive, and the menu seemed limited to fish or pork! On the whole it didn't seem to fit in with what appeared to be an out-of-town hotel that was reasonably priced other than that there was little to complain about.

Although just outside the town it was easy to drive in and car parking well signed. We had a balcony and it was pleasant to sit in the early evenings. The town itself is very interesting with a lovely main square great for people watching.

The attention to detail regarding the cleaning of the bathroom floor and door frames could have been better. We found the evening menu expensive but the lunch time Menu del Dia was reasonable.

Breakfast wasn’t great. no orange juice as it had run out! only white bread, no milk for the one cereal available. not good for anyone with diabetics or gluten intolerances. no choices.

This hotel is a modern purpose built hotel and is an excellent place to stay if visiting Plasencia. It has all the facilities you would expect and having on site parking outside is a major plus. It’s about a five minute drive from the centre and so it is perfect provided you have your own transport. Breakfast was decent although there was not a huge amount of choice.

Staff could come across as a little cold and diffident but they appeared to be good at their jobs.

Location in industrial area

clean, well appointed, good beds, superb staff and Manager.

The walls are thin and noise travels easily but, that depends on the occupant next to you - I asked if I could change room when next door had a loud tv when I arrived and the reception was very helpful - it was January so perhaps easier for them to do.

Beds are okay but not brilliant We put a bag in front of the door to stop the corridor lights from disturbing us The restaurant opens at 8.30pm which is normal in Spain but doesn’t always suit travellers
