Palacio Carvajal Girón

A fantastic hotel in the centre of Plasencia and a great location to stay to explore the town from. The restaurant was one of the most beautiful I've had breakfast in, and the continental breakfast spread was plentiful. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly - I can only apologise to them for my Spanish not being good enough having to rely on their English - which was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel!

To be really nitpicky, there isn't a pool or gym, but that's not really in fitting with the character of the hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area within a short walking distance to the historical sites.

The parking arrangement was not to our liking. We thought that parking was on hotel grounds, unfortunately, when we checked in all 5 parking places (?!) were taken. As as result had to take the car to a public parking facility outside the old city walls. Although a short distance, had I known a priori that this might happen, I would have considered alternative hotel arrangements.

Lovely large spotlessly clean room with a bed that was huge and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was amazing but see comments below! Breakfast simple and nice but not much to choose from! Location of this hotel could not have been better for walking into town.

Room 212, very nice room but anyone who is slightly infirm needs to be aware that its almost impossible to get into that lovely bath tub without a handle or step! Think you really also must warn guests that the ceiling is incredibly low in places with dangerous steel bars to bang your head on! Would have been nice to have tea/coffee in the room. The carparking was a bit scary to get into but with help from the staff was ok.

Beautiful property with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Parking was difficult due primarily to how old the city was and how narrow the streets were. If you rent a car, get the smallest one you can fit in!

Our room looked out across a narrow street at an apartment building but it was still kind of charming because of the age of the city. You couldn't really expect an expansive view from that property (castle).

missing some minor details that you would expect in a hotel of this calibre and price (nespresso machine, soap next to the bidet, gym/spa, bathrobe/slippers, some toiletries…) also,had the best sleep in a long time, and have to applaud them for installing double doors for the room entry, but was still woken up by 3 rickety metal trolleys carried by the cleaning staff at 8.30am, something I thought could be easily avoided

The hotel was like an oasis within the castle walls blending in with the surroundings. The exterior and internal layout has been carefully designed and constructed to reflect the location. The staff were extremely professional and helpful. The bedrooms, restaraunt and public areas were calming and could not be faulted.

Nothing could be improved

Beautiful and very unique hotel set in the centre of the Old Town, surrounded by buildings four to five hundred years old. Terrific location. Huge bedroom and massive bathroom. Spotlessly clean and great balcony/patio. Parking on the premises was a bonus. Lovely breakfast eaten in a huge and very striking dining room.

We didn't like leaving this hotel, it was so good.

This place is a jewel a true palace in the middle of an old town. The reception exceeded our expectations. Super friendly staff Paula is amazing. Our room had a huge bathroom with all amenities and with a balcony that faced a cathedral. The hotel served breakfast and have a small bar . The hotel has parking on site with an extra charge but it was worth it if you have a car rental. We will definitely stay here again. If you want to stay in an old castle and be treated as a royal this is a must stay.

Very spacious room, wonderful bathroom, really waaw!... with separate toilet. The hotel has a stylish and calm character, well located in the center. The staff was polite and efficient.

The outside spaces could have been much more, adjusting lighting could make this cosy and more inviting, a missed chance

lovely small intimate hotel in the most perfect location with staff that couldn’t have been more friendly. We absolutely fell in love with this little gem and in future will always stop here on our travels between north and southern Spain.

The car parking was a little scary but with help from your superb staff we survived our second visit with you without a scratch!
