Hotel Torremar

The location is fantastic. I'd guess during summer parking may be more difficult, but as we went end of September, we found it super easy to park nearby and walk around. The room was quiet, balcony was really spacious, and curtains were blackout, so we enjoyed a peaceful long sleep. Check-in was easy and fast.

There was a really popular fish restaurant just down the street and the fresh fish smell could be off-putting for some. It didn't bother us too much, but to be considered. Also, parking during summer may be difficult, but easy to get free parking rest of the year. Our room faced the small road on the side, but I imagine a room facing the main street may be more noisy.

This 4 star hotel is incredible value and set just 50m from the beach promenade. While we only stayed for one night, we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Room was spacious, excellent air conditioning and beds. Breakfast was very good, with a great variety on display. While it may be passed over since it does not have a pool, this is no issue, since you could literally run from the hotel door to the sea in 3 minutes.

There was no onsite parking that we could see but ample parking on local streets and a central car park 5 minutes from hotel.

The room was very clean with a daily clean and fresh towels each day . Breakfast was excellent - a good selection of options, both hot and cold and the products were of a good quality. The hotel is in the perfect location, near the town centre and shops but also close to the beach, restaurants and bus station. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the more mature lady on reception. We asked for a quiet room and this was accomodated.

The Jacuzzi was not available for use. The coffee at breakfast was not in keeping with the high standard of the other items. Unfortunately we found that if we put on the air conditioning the smell in our room was horrendous - possibly coming from the drains?? ( The hotel had been doing a refresh/maintenance of the drains the day of our arrival so perhaps they have been having a problem with the sewers?). Thankfully the weather/ temperature while we were there allowed us to leave the air con off and we simply left the patio doors open in the evening before we went to bed in order to bring the temperature in the room down.

Parking a bit of a rigmarole and is off another side of the building not clearly marked - meanwhile had to go past the hotel and double park further on to walk back to reception to find out how to access parking only to find we had to check in before we could go back around the block and down a narrow street to pull into the parking garage - except I didn't have passports or wallet with me at that stage as just wanted to park so we could unload and checkin.

The staff were extremely helpful when needed to extend stay. Lady at breakfast knowledgeable about gluten-free diet taking my wife around the breakfast buffet. Buffet fresh and had some variety. A bargain at €7. Really central and close to beach. Nice public areas.

The air conditioning in our first room on second floor did not work properly and room had musky smell. Air conditioning absolutely essential. Staff facilitated a move to second room was absolutely fine.

Rooms are good as well as bathroom. staff friendly. very good breakfast! Location is very near to the beach and all restaurants and bars. At the same time this might be uncomfortable with regard to the noise if you are at the front side.

If you have a room with a balcony at the front side, it can be very noisy till very late at night/morning! You need to close the sliding doors to the balcony and use the airco. So this is to take into consideration if you don’t like to sleep with the airco on!!

The central location, a good sized private terrace, and a fridge in the room. The staff were friendly and spoke English. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Also, the aircon was a bit noisy for nighttime use. The bathroom, although very clean, seemed in need of a partial refurbishment.

We liked the location, the facility and breakfast.

We didn't like the parking. The parking entrance is horrible and the fact it the same as the exit, we found it very dangerous. They don't have a card or key just a bell to call the reception....quite rudimentary. We went to the pool to find out we need to go to the reception to get towels. We went to the reception to find out we need 10 Euros per towel as deposit. So, we were supposed to get back in the room, get cash (only), get to the reception to get towels and then to the pool. Seriously? ??

Location was the main reason for booking here. Near beach, shops, restaurants, bars. Breakfast was very nice. Good variety, nice fresh fruit, decent coffee. The room was adequate, clean and comfy beds.

Disappointed to not get a room with terrace - however, just down to availability as booked short notice in high season. The "minbar" in room worked, but was woefully inadequate. Cooled drinks were just not possible. Reported to reception,but no action taken.

Location is excellent. In town centre but beach only 1 street from promenade. Staff very friendly and could speak a little English. Breakfast room very pleasant and clean, and food laid out well.

Only dislikes was lack of Tea/coffee making facility in room. TV was not on wall so only visible from one bed (on unit in alcove). No dislikes on location or breakfast.
