Radisson Hotel Kandy

The Hotel is a 15 minutes tuk tuk/car ride from the train station. It is a modern hotel hotel with all the amenities you can think. The rooftop bar along with the swimming pool was our favourite place to spend time. The breakfast menu was vast. We would definitely come back here

During our stay there was problem with the room electricity due to which the air conditioning did not work for a few hours which ended up to be an issue of overload and was fixed after calling management At the breakfast you find so many crows on the balcony if you are having breakfast there and if you leave your table for anything your food is going to be eaten by them. This needs to be taken care of

The stay in the hill-facing room was fantastic. We were traveling with my parents, and they provided us with adjoining rooms that were clean and comfortable. The morning view from the balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast's wide variety of tasty delicacies was truly excellent. At the evening, you will be amazed to see the lights on the hillside buildings.

The check in time was really lengthy and after an almost four hours journey from Colombo, it was really annoying. I had to request amenities such as towels and soaps separately. There were no slippers. I had to ask them three times to open the connecting door. The house keeping service really needs to be improved.

We booked just a regular twin room without any view, but guys on the reception desk proposed us free upgrade, so we had the great view on the city and the lake. That was nice! :) The room was calm and clean, with comfy beds (and blankets not just sheets!). The stuff was very kind and helpful, the swimming pool on the rooftop is very nice when you're not on a seaside. Location is also good, nearby the main attractions.

Internet connection: it was a bit better that in other Sri-Lankan hotels but anyway slow, that was just one disadvantage here. And rooftop bar were a bit overpriced.

Great location, stunning views of the city and lake, and great breakfast and rooftop pool/bar. The room was really comfortable, with a hot shower and good wifi, and the balcony view is just incredible. The staff are also helpful and friendly. Would stay again!

The room we booked said it has a bathtub, but then upon arrival it did not; however after speaking to Booking and the property, they gave us breakfast instead to make up for the error, which was nice.

It was a wonderful place to stay in Kandy. We got upgraded to a lake view room on one of the higher floors on arrival, which was a welcome gesture. The location was also a big plus, near the lake - albeit on a steep incline to the property! The room was comfortable, modern and had all the amenities. The only draw was the lack of lighting fixtures - It just wasn't bright enough in the room. The staff were always helpful, even holding my luggage for a bit longer while we waltzed off to take a tour of the city post checkout. Would definitely recommend this stay.

The location of the property is very central but could use better signage to access. The rooms are good and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

We had two meals at the hotel and it wasn't very tasty and could've been more flavourful. Some of the bathroom fittings were quite old and broke. The air conditioning is on a thermostat that's complicated to operate so the room can get a bit too hot.

Location of the Hotel, over a mountain with amazing views!! overlooking the Temple of The Tooth! staff are very friendly & helpful, specially Ishara, Timothy from Reception, and Mohan from room service!! They were very supportive when we arrived early due to flight timing, arranged an early check-in, which was very nice from the team! we loved Bommu Restaurant at the top! it has nice food (we do not drink, so no feedbacks on drinks). The main Restaurant team are so kind & friendly, one day they called to check about Breakfast when we were late 😍

Pool is small and not attractive (actually, we were busy with tours, so we didn’t care)

Good hotel with nice facilities such as the pool, fitness and rooftop bar. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. However when it comes to transport, i suggest using Uber or PickMe when it comes to TukTuks and Taxis. The morning buffet is quite good, so is the evening buffet. However you could look for other restaurants and bakeries and get better food for less. The girl working at the rooftop bar is VERY helpful and friendly and probably one of their best assets.

The TukTuk drivers in front of the hotel are untrustworthy and really try to take as much money from you as possible. Rooms was quite dirty behind the curtains and smelled bad. We would've enjoyed some traditional Tea, at least with breakfast or on the menu card at the bar.

Very nice hotel, comfortable beds and rooms with great A/C, nice bathrooms, everything clean. The breakfast was very nice and opulent, including western as well as Sri Lankan options. Some of the staff very nice the pool is nice, although it could be cleaned more often during the day to get rid of hair The location was very good, although the TukTuk drivers directly in front of the hotel are way overpriced - avoid those by walking a few feet of the premises.

our checkin took 30 minutes, there was an unpleasant surprise with a non-disclosed service charge (10%) and in generell the service did not match the hotel‘s price and claimed standard (we had to ask 3 times for our third towel)

The topfloor pool is great getaway in the noisy city center - great views aswell. The rooms were very sensibly priced. Huge lobby area. Wide choice of buffet for breakfast. Can eat both indoors with AC or on terrace in the shade.

Some sports team members were partying in the hallway - the noise does reach the room aswell. The soundproofing of the door isn't the best. The pricing of the dinner is competitive with Europe ofcourse, but in the city can find better for less.
