Clarion Collection Hotel Mektagonen

The room was clean and big and the hotel staff (reception, kitchen, etc.) was very friendly. They made sure that we got vegan food for dinner and at breakfast we had a lot of vegan options to choose from (e.g. vegan cheese, milk and yogurt)! With a walking distance of two minutes to the tram station, you get around very well as well!

The room didn't have a window and because of that the air conditioning was constantly running (not able to turn off) and made some noise. If you don't mind that and don't plan on staying in the room for too long, it won't affect your stay too much!

Excellent value for price. Rooms are big, breakfast is solid and good. Check-in very easy, location a short tram ride from Center and even on foot reachable in 10 minutes. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. The hotel provides free access to a fully equipped gym, which is excellent. The afternoon tea as well as the dinner included in the package are a nice touch and were actually really good.

This hotel was amazing! Felt I was stepping into the Ritz, says this is a 3 star hotel, in the UK it would be a 5 star, not sure exactly how they could make this even better. The staff were so friendly, let me keep my bag there even after check out and even let me charge my phone too. Beds were really comfortable, loved the walk in shower, room was a really decent size. Very close to the tram stop too which was ideal. Breakfast, fika and dinner was included too, also didn't realise could get free bike rental too. Loved my stay here

Only thing I didn't like was the choice of the buffet, for dinner there appeared to be only meat potatoes and side salad, for breakfast the only thing I liked was bacon, would be great if they offered a bigger range of food

Spacious room, friendly and helpful staff, delicious buffet breakfast and dinner. Amazing gym (Nordic Wellness) in the same building.

Hotel is located inside a bigger building, so even more directions before or during check-in about e.g. how to access parking and from there get to the hotel (and open doors) would be helpful. Extra bed wasn't premade before arrival, but fortunately this was resolved quickly. Didn't see a sauna.

It was fantastic to check in and go straight to eat an amazing dinner! I was expecting to go look at dinner and then go find a real meal..but the dinner was delicious 😋. Room was great and comfortable and would stay again. Breakfast was also pretty good !

Only thing is that the location is kind of far..but within close proximity to the tram..so it was quick to get more central via public transport.

Very good location for sightseeing, only 10min with public transport. Park the car here and have a hassle-free day in the city. Very comfy beds, spacious room. Breakfast and dinner were I clouded, chef tries to make it work for anyone (gluten-free, veggie etc), for us it worked out, all served in buffet style. Staff at reception front desk very kind and helpful.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff super helpful, and having breakfast and dinner included in the room rate is a huge bonus (Goteborg is an expensive city). The buffet for the meals was varied and the food was tasty.

It is not centrally located -I knew that when I booked it- and there is not much of interest in the hotel vicinity, but a 20 minutes tram ride gets you to the centre.

Excellent value for money with breakfast and dinner included in the price, both of which were of a very high standard and offered a reasonable choice. A menu is available to see in advance for the one main meal option so easy to decide if you want it, there was also soup, bread and salad available. The room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly

Bit of a walk to the town but it is on a tram line that we didn’t use.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, large room with no window had kitchenette. Breakfast, Fika, and dinner were served; and had a nice variety, especially in the morning. It was on the outskirts of Gothenburg but still close and easily accessible by train. I would definitely stay there again.

Maybe the location was in the middle of two train stops, but not really a problem.

We liked the breakfast, I can hardly remember other places with so much food choices in the morning. The evening meal that was included in our price was also ok. The room was large with a small kitchen and a fridge. Huge supermarked in the same building. Comfy bed and pillows, quiet room.

There is some construction work around the hotel, no noice genes though. You might find the Hotel parking slightly overpriced, considering the fact that the hotel is situated miles away from the city center. We parked on the street for free instead.
