Boutique & Business Hotel La Tureta

We arrived early in the morning due to no traffic jam. They instantly checked if the room was free and even arranged it that our room would be cleaned as first. The parking-spot was also free so within 30 minutes we could take a shower and fresh up. The room was as expected, clean and nicely! The personal was so friendly that they even suggested we make use of the breakfast that was being served without additional cost. We recommend it anyone! With 2 adults and 2 little children in one room it was even cheaper than less star hotels with only 2 person rooms.

We were on route from Italy to Germany and needed a place to stay overnight to recharge. We arrived late and were welcomed by very helpful and accommodating staff. Registered within minutes, upgraded into a spacious loft suite which we can fully recommend. The suite was super clean, fine bedding, very comfy and spacious bed. Well equipped and clean bathroom. The suite was beautifully decorated contemporary/old style mix. Great views of Bellizona and the mountains. Lots of cafes around the hotel if you do not feel like having breakfast there. We did not have BF at the hotel, but checked it out and they have a great looking buffet spread. We took coffee in our room, and it was GOOD coffee. Check out at noon allowed us to rest up before the next part of our journey. We would come back.

All was wonderful. Just like with other booking.com bookings it would be good to have clearer instructions on parking arrangements and how parking reservations need to be made.

The room was clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English. We really enjoyed using the hotel's rental bikes - they are 'one size fits all' but good enough to get to Locarno. It looked like guests could also store their own bikes in the cycle room. The location is fine if you want to be in Giubiasco - it's about 3km from Bellinzona centre. Great breakfast - buffet with lots of choice.

The restaurant is good, we enjoyed our meal, but it's not quite the same standard as the rest of the hotel.

Tge staff were not only friendly but also resourceful. I had forgotten to request a parking space but they reserved one for me in case it was needed, which it was. Breakfast was very good indeed. This was my second stay on route from London to Italy and will always be my hotel of choice on this see

Next to a park with a view over a well frequented children’s play area and the queue for the local gelateria opposite, there was always something to watch from the front terrace. Our room was at the back of the hotel (quiet, air conditioned, with a mini kitchen and kettle), it was very clean, beds were firm, one could request extra cutlery, plates, pillows, towels, etc. My gluten and dairy free diet was taken in their stride both at breakfast and at dinner - when I was carefully advised about what I could order on the restaurant menu - and they made me a special dessert, which was truly delicious. Room service was also prepared carefully and delivered promptly. At the other end of the nearby park is a bus stop where it is simple to catch one of two regular bus lines directly into the center of Bellinzona, the trips for which are covered by the Ticino Pass we received on arrival at la Tureta. We arrived by train and on request we were both collected and dropped off at the nearby station with our luggage by the staff, who were most accommodating. The hotel is walking distance from a local pizzeria that offers gluten free pasta and pizza, where we were also warmly welcomed and ate well. We would definitely stay at la Tureta again, and we heartily recommend it.

I regret not having brought my bicycle! There are lots of cycle and hiking routes nearby and the hotel is well equipped to cater for cyclists. I also love to sit outside and watch the world go by when on vacation. However, as we are both non smokers and have developed a strong dislike for the smell of tobacco smoke when we are eating, there is no way to avoid the smoke from others when seated outside. As a result we chose to sit indoors to eat even on warm and sunny days. This is not a situation particular to this hotel, this is usual in al fresco areas of restaurants and cafes in Switzerland.

The room was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and there was an extra sink in the living area to get ready in the morning.

Breakfast was offered but seemed a bit specialized. Good for special diets though.

Beautiful location, easy to reach Bellinzona by local bus, clean and fresh room with great views of the valley, very friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and fine dining at the restaurant, hotel offers prive outdoor parking at a good price (10 CHF/night). We look forward to another visit!

Our room type (Comfort Studio) had a kitchenette but no microwave oven or regular oven, very limited parking spaces.

Real professional staff but garage difficult to enter with large vehicle. Dinner excellently served in a too small dining room. Though the lobster salsa was too generous the taste was to die for. The French crêpes were not enough to appreciate their refined taste. Excellent local wines selection. Staff is really pleasant.

Garage impossible to get in with large vehicles. The strawberries in the Gin&Tonic was not the best idea. Tiny portion of French crepes.

The owner/proprietor was extremely rude and condescending to us at the breakfast table. That really marred our memories of the day but other than that it was a great stay.

Excellent staff, very helpful and happy. Very good restaurant dishes. Very nice park for kids next to the hotel. Parking was easily reserved and very convenient.

You may need to find some better system for guests to order breakfast at the room, as there were a few mistakes. Also, maybe guests could have priority to be served at the restaurant, since they are paying for their stay. Or maybe some table reserved only for guests. Not only we couldn't get a table, but also our food took very long to be delivered to our room. We were also refused some dishes because they didn't have time to prepare for us. In general, we felt like the hotel guests are second priority compared to people visiting the restaurant.
