Hôtel Terminus

This hotel is the most centrally located hotel in Orsiere. The rooms far exceeded my expectations for the price and rating of hotel, with beautiful bedlinen and a very spacious room. In addition the staff were very helpful and facilitated a transfer of our backpacks to our next destination. The restaurant is buzzing and from what we saw the main place for socialising in the town. Food was very good also.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times, most recently last weekend to ski at Verbier and other local resorts. I love this hotel because the staff are brilliant, friendly and welcoming and they go out of their way to help. The rooms are pleasant and unfussy and the beds are comfortable and snug. The food is very good for breakfast and dinner is excellent. It is extremely well placed for arriving by train from Geneva Airport - 2 simple changes (Martigny and Sembrancher) that amount to a few steps across platforms and, finally, 100 yards from the final train stop to the hotel entrance. It is simple. Of course, it is not Verbier but you can get around to Le Chable (to take the lift up to Verbier or Bruson) easily enough by train, taking much the same time as it would to drive. Also, you may not want to ski in Verbier every day, so you are well placed here to go up the valley to some niche, esoteric, local resorts that can be completely empty of crowds when Verbier is too busy to enjoy. I have stayed here when cycling in the summer too and it is in the best position for a go at the Grand St Bernard, or a day trip to Lake Geneva, or the many road routes around the Valais.

Location for TMB is perfect, rooms.

A lot of flys in the restaurant, in the evening on the outside teras and in the morning inside the restaurant, everywhere. In the morning we came for the breakfast and they didn't have clean plates or glasses and the food was all most finish. We had to ask twice to bring us something to eat and we were not alone.

This hotel offers fantastic facilities with friendly and attentive staff. Our room for a family of 5 was a good size, the beds and bedding were very comfortable and of good quality, and the shower pressure was amazing! A special mention must go to how spotlessly clean this accommodation is, it really is outstanding!! The restaurant offers a great range of delicious food for dinner and breakfast was a very enjoyable continental.

One of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. Very nice clean room. Very nice staff. Very good breakfast.

Balcony faces the train station haha, first train at 5:30am, fell back asleep, got up with the second train at 6:30. Bunch of flies in the breakfast room. Kind of a frequent problem in this region I guess? Unfortunate.

Lovely room with big window and door onto verandah. Very quaint hotel next to railway station. I wasn't bothered by noise of trains - in fact enjoyed hearing them come and go. Breakfast was excellent. Great variety and quality of food. Restaurant had vegetarian section on menu and food was lovely and good value.

This is a lovely old (but modernised internally) hotel at the end of a wonderfully scenic branch line railway. The room I was given was large, very comfortable, well equipped and truly quiet. The restaurant is brilliant, the service, food and wines excellent and it appears to be at the heart of the village judging by the numbers of locals using it. I had stayed there once before and will certainly return.

Let’s start by saying the location indeed is on the other side of the railroad. Difficult to miss. The reception by staff is really friendly and hart warming. Certainly after 24km hiking in the pouring rain. The check in process is fast and efficient. Part of the hotel is a nice restaurant with some great food.

Although understood not all rooms are created equal please be aware that there are a very limited number of rooms in the main building. The other rooms are in a side building and are far less glamorous. Walls are relatively thin.

We enjoyed our stay in Orsières. The hotel is right next to the train station. Plenty of parking at the hotel or up by the train station. The breakfast was great and the room was perfect for our family of 5. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was very good. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything to dislike. No issues.

A good size room on the ground floor as requested the entrance to which is very attractively appointed with comfy chairs and good lighting if you don't want to stay in your room. The hotel is very "cyclist friendly". The outside terrace is an attractive meeting place and being close to the station is the right place to stop.

Nothing - it was perfect for two tired cyclists.
