Great location, amazing breakfast, cozy bar/lounge/restaurant area, friendly staff. The hotel is close to the town center, restaurants, thermal bath, shops and train station. Easy access to the ski lifts.

We were staying in room 102, very close to the reception and restaurant/kitchen, it got loud from time to time, especially bothering late at night and early in the morning… I would recommend staying away from rooms 101, 102 and 103. Parking is available but expensive, 25frs per night. The delicious breakfast was missing scrambled or fried eggs (only boiled eggs available)

The room set up(family room with a double bedroom and a bunk room) was ideal for us. Looking at previous comments, i think the hotel improved on many points: there was cleaning every other day, change of towels and bed straigthening everyday, buffet breakfast was included in the room price and there was tv in one of our rooms. The staff in general was welcoming and helpful, there were a few instances where there were mistakes on our dinner order, they always corrrected the bill and apologised. The hotel bar/restaurant is very nice, trendy and comfortable.

In a recently renovated hotel, i can not believe that there is no sink in the toilet. There are two sinks in the two bedrooms but not one small sink next to the toilet, despite abundant space. So imagine you use the toilet in the night and wash your hands in the bedroom where your partner is sleeping, after opening and closing two doors: unacceptable by modern hygiene standards and an archaic remnant of culture that needs to be corrected. I wonder when.. Despite available space no armchair in the entrance nor in the bedrooms. The buffet is exactly the same every morning, gets boring after a few days as the offer is not diverse.

Breakfast, especially the big chocolate croissants (pain au chocolat) in a very relaxed space with big windows and views of the garden, comfortable bed, great view from my room window which I requested, and excellent hospitality, thoughtfulness and friendly nature of both Reyna and Sebastien!

Small things such as no kettle in the room but Reyna went out of her way to find me an electric kettle!

Lounge / resto was great and the menu was not huge but had a good variety of meals (local & international). Excellent wine choices (but do check prices before ordering as some are too steep in my view). Room (or double room) was great - not huge (but we knew that) but everything is very well thought through and excellent for the price. Very clean and sound proof with the additional perk of a balcony. Very child friendly staff.

Great for the head waiter to show initiative on the choice of wine but at 12 chf/glass, I was a little peeved. Checked the menu for the next glass :)!

Even after booking spontaneously and arriving rather late 8pm, the staff were enormously friendly, helpful and took their time with check in and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was quiet, squeaky clean and had just the right amenities. The shared bathroom was very clean and appeared to be tended to regularly. I slept so well, that I slept in - and left rather soon afterwards. Check out was fast, no surprises, and they even organised a petit dejeuner with a coffee To-Go, for my drive. It's been long since I've experienced this level of professionalism, absolute top-service with respectful and even friendly interaction at a hotel. On top of being such a cool place design- and interior wise! Amazing! Merci beaucoup! I will happily recommend this place and be back myself ✨

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had the basics needed. The room was quiet and the temperature was good. There is a locker room for the skis and there are rental spaces right across the street. The hotel itself is clean, stylish in a modern way and has nice little details which make it look nicer. The scenery is off course unbelievable! The wifi was consistant and of good strength. Breakfast had a basic but varied selection of local produce. Current hygiene measures were followed and checked. In the room, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had some basic soaps. There was a blow drier and plenty of storage space making it very practical. I accompanied a young teenager with significant support needs, he can be loud and asks more questions than there are answers. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Communication after booking was slow, with messages only replied to very late and no one to answer the phone ahead of the visit. Other than that, the stay was very smooth.

Overall a pleasant place to stay. Staff were friendly. Nice main bar / dining area. Rooms were small, but clean. Bus for ski lift was just outside the hotel.

Breakfast was good, but got a bit boring after a week. Evening menu was limited. Very little fruit & vegetables. Noisy extractor fan above the kitchen could be improved. Very annoying that the bar staff emptied the bottles outside everyday evening at 11pm and woke the whole family up.

The staff are always available, friendly and courteous. The large bar area is a wonderful place to relax even if the kids prefer to stay upstairs in the room. The rooms themselves, if a little small, are extremely clean and fresh and often have superb views.

Breakfast was the only minor disappointment. Where previously a serve-yourself buffet breakfast had been included with the cost of the room, this had been changed to a simple bread basket brought to the table with any additional items having to be ordered and charged separately. Coffee/tea and fruit juice was still included. With two growing boys the inclusive breakfast was a major factor when choosing the Villars Lodge and we were disappointed to see this change.

Great location. Nice views. We chose to take the breakfast option. So glad we did it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Staff very helpful. Definitely stay there again.

No extractor/ventilation fans in hot shower room and in the separate toilet. No tea making facilities in room.

The breakfast was lovely, sat eating it with a beautiful view out the window. All the staff were very helpful and the lady on reception helped me with some travel advice. And they even happily put up with my sometimes questionable french

Stayed in one of the rooms with the shared bathrooms, wasn’t very soundproof but didn’t stop me getting to sleep!
