Kacha Resort & Spa, Koh Chang - SHA Extra Plus

Lovely setting, right on the beach, lovely and quiet but lots of restaurants and little bars all around.

The breakfast wasn't great. Self service buffet, spread over a large area, it took many journeys to get a coffee, a juice and a slice of toast. Some odd dishes for breakfast, such as pumpkin soup and cauliflower cheese - maybe popular with other countries and easily avoided. Breakfast finishes at 10am, which means a 9am wake up. It would be nice if a reduced breakfast could go on till 11/12 o'clock.

Kacha resort is nice hotel and location but its not that good because of covid restrictions still you need to wear gloves and mask while getting food at breakfast zone

Loved my stay here. The room was very clean. I stayed on the hillside but could see the ocean. There were no ants in my room like many others experience in nearby hotels. During breakfast sea water floats just below the front seats of the hotel restaurant. It was so nice to sit there and enjoy the view. Truly a paradise.

Nothing about the hotel. Note that the last ferry to the island leaves at 6:30pm if you are coming from Bangkok.

Nice sprawling property. Good swimming pool. Awesome breakfast. Lots of greenery and well maintained.

Overall good place. Front beach half part is full of stone however beach opposite breakfast area is nice. Staff are helpful however some Senior staff could be more friendly and flexible.

Nice beach and hotel..note that July is rainy season and you can't swim in the sea as very strong rip....island is very low key and people very nice...no aggressive selling....shops priced very reasonably and no need to bargain very much..a lot of choice of food around and very good street vendors right outside the hotel

July is cool...no sun...overcast every day so don't expect to get a tan...but also you wont sweat!!

The difficulty booking where my debit card was deemed unacceptable as I made the booking in the name I am known as (my 2nd name), whereas my bank card is in my first legal name. I even supplied a copy of my passport to support this. Ironically, there was no difficulty when I paid in person at the hotel. My original booking was cancelled as a result with me being told I had to arrange a new card with my bank. I and my bank are located in the UK. Consequently, I was given 2 days of worry about my booking. It would also be great if there was a lift at the hotel as carrying baggage to the 3rd floor is a struggle.

So we lived in a sea-view villa staying in the low season. The villa itself is quite comfortable and the hotel's public places such as the swimming pool area are beautiful and well-groomed. Breakfast provides a wide choice of meals for nearly every wish you might have. The room is cleaned carefully and daily, the staff even changed bed sheets every day which actually was quite surprising but having all that sand around, was a great plus. The beach area in front of the hotel is rocky, but still, it takes 1 min to arrive at the sandy one. Toilets in the public area are clean and inherit the common style of the hotel.

The only thing we didn't was the dinner, we ordered a Mohito cocktail, which was too syrupy/sugary and had some weird taste in it, and the spice pizza, which came with huge peppercorns, so we carefully removed items of peppercorns from pizza, cause when you bite them - it's not that tasty. So we ate out at noon and at the evening.

Good location, right on the beach but also easy to move around from the main street. The beach villa was close to the restaurant and the pool. Nice staff and good breakfast. Would visit again if they would do some maintanance to rooms.

The room was quite outdated and smelled like mold. If you had the aircon off for the day when you were out the smell was awful. I feared to get a rash or sick or if the smell stains to your clothes. There was black mold in the shower. Also there was these small ants if you left anything on the table. The room was quite small. On the first day they started some construction work and drilling at 9am and on the last night at 3am. So no sleep on the last night.

Very nice hotel a bit off the hub of White Sand beach. The pools are like in the pictures, very nice to spend the day. I went every day up the beach and stayed mostly just on the beautiful beach lying and swimming so not sponging so much time at the hotel pool. Breakfast was very nice, full of varieties, both western and asian. Room was a bit outdated but I got used to it very quickly. Good big safe in the room and amazing amount of international tv-channels (which I didn't watch...). The upper pool had a nice jacuzzi with surprisingly strong water to massage my back and feet.

It was a bit annoying that many guests went first in the morning by the pool and threw their towels on the best chairs and then went off to breakfast. I just sat on one of them and it took more than an hour before the person arrived. I was nice and gave the chair back but c'mon, that's not the way to book a chair... It would have been nice to be able to take hotel towel to the beach, but officially it's not allowed.
