White Lanterns Motel

The owner does an excellent tray at breakfast. Plenty of milk for cereal,lovely cutlery. Best tray we have ever had in a motel.He is a friendly person,the rooms are always clean,choccies on the bed with the towels.Just nice little touches.Also it is a quiet spot off Marsh St in Armidale.We have stayed a few times there,,it is a pleasant experience.

Don't know of anything, if we were being picky,very small soaps,and hard to get the kettle under the tap in bathroom.But,as I say,that's being picky.

The ONLY negative comment I have is that both booking.com and google listed this motel as "pet Friendly". However after confirming my booking I received paperwork stating "NO PETS ALLOWED". After communicating directly with the motel I was advised that "pets were permissible as long as the motel was left in a clean condition" Why the MISLEADING advertisement of "PET FRIENDLY". OF course as a responsible pet owner I would ALWAYS make sure that I would leave any premises used for my pet in a clean and "AS FOUND" condition!!.

The motel is situated away from busy roads & main business area. The motel is quiet, the rooms are clean & comfortable with all usual facilities ( plus are few surprised extras) Breakfast is available & is presented wonderfully by the owners. Have stayed here before on previous visits to Armidale & have enjoyed the overnight stays. Whenever I'm in Armidale again I will most certainty stay @ the White Lanterns. A great motel to stay.

Really comfortable affordable decent motel, with friendly staff, good size rooms, strong wi-fi, lovely clean white sheets, short drive to everything & peaceful. Perfect, as far as I’m concerned!

Only issue I had I couldn’t figure out the TV; it seemed you had to use your own Netflix (which I don’t have). But perhaps I just couldn’t figure out how to get free to air tv.

Owners have been in the business for a long time and nurture the experience of staying in a motel as it is given to us in the novels and films of the tradition “on the road” hotel stay. A time capsule that has preserved the experience of staying in motels in the 1980’s. Has all the things you need on top of the nostalgia, comfortable bed, warm shower etc. I won’t stay anywhere else when I’m in Armidale.

I have stayed at the Motel on many occasions as i travel for work, It is one of the best Motels i have stayed in, the owners are very friendly and the room is always immaculately clean and tidy, with every facility you could want. Exceptional value for money too. !

This is the second time we have stayed at White Lanterns when passing through the Armidale region. The owners are friendly; the room is very clean and quite spacious with a large & comfortable bed, separate armchairs and a small dining table; the shower had plentiful water. It was very quiet overnight. The motel is excellent value for money, and we will certainly stay yet again on our next visit to Armidale.

The rooms are comfortable, the ambience and decor pleasant and not sterile. There is foliage around the grounds, the pictures and decor are pleasant and the service good. Everything in the room worked. Parking is convenient. The location served us well. Nothing at all to complain about.

The decor, wall decorations, greenery in the grounds, care park not too cramped. The room was spacious enough. All facillities worked we.. Reception was welcoming and efficient. All good, nothing not to like.

Everything - an older motel but spotlessly clean, thoughtful amenities in the room, great shower with plenty of pressure and instant hot water on a cool Armidale night. Nice friendly welcome at check in.

Nothing. Some of the furniture choices are interesting but my impression is of owners that take pride in their business.

Great little motel that is quiet and comfortable. Cosy, great hot shower, nice and warm. We would definitely stay here again.

Not a problem for us but the shower base is leaking which the manger needs to fix before it damages the cabinet further.
