Charles Rasp Motor Inn & Cottages

Room was a little dated but nothing unexpected for a rural town in NSW. Bathroom has been recently renovated & was lovely! Bed was very comfortable & the room was clean & tidy. Parking was available for a 4WD & they were able to accommodate our camper trailer also.

Not the property’s fault or problem but we did go out & found someone parked in our designated car space when we got back. Thankfully there were plenty others available.

I think that Broken Hill would have a lot of longer stay clientele, it would be good to have a bit more kitchenware available in the rooms such as chopping boards, a sharp knife, etc. We didn't have cutlery or plates either but it was easy enough to ask the lovely staff. I think the property could benefit from a communal laundry area where you can tap and pay for a wash or a dry. We had this service available in numerous other motels around Australia.

Upgraded to a family room which meant more space for 2 nights. Comfy bed, good location,close to several takeaway outlets. Friendly staff. Property located on a corner at a roundabout, with this room being on the corner, but minimal traffic noise. Bathroom modern with big shower.

Modern bathroom, rainfall showerhead, clean rooms, well appointed, comfy bed. 2 food venues directly opposite, one serving good gluten free savoury food. On the edge of CBD so fairly quiet. Friendly staffed laundromat 1 block away.

The BBQ in the courtyard was great, it wasn’t warm enough when we stayed to use the pool, but it is a good feature to have when it is hot! Having parking off the street, within the courtyard is great for vehicle security, that’s another plus+!

The design of the hotel meant that it felt safe and was quiet from street noise, with the interior courtyard giving your car security too. While the property is as old as others that are similar it is very well maintained and had been cleaned well with a comfortable bed. Compared to another motel that I went to first - with a sagging mattress, a lamp that didn’t work and grim lighting - the price is good for broken hill.

One of the owners was a bit tetchy about my pup having an excited run around the car park after I’d left him overnight in the car. But the staff and other owner were good.

we did struggle with the water in the shower getting out into the floor. lucky we had a dryer as we needed to mop up the floor a lot 🙂

Enjoyed the stay here. Had a family room which was very spacious. There was a separate bedroom with 2 singles in it, also had a long desk along the wall which was great for setting up the laptop. Bed was comfy, shower was great, the carpet looked really new. There also was a lounge and a 2 seat round table. Fridge, microwave and toaster. Large bath tub which the kids enjoyed. Easy walk to town centre. Pubs and take away restaurants very short walk away.

Nothing really I didn't like, this was the only room you couldn't park directly in front of but you could park pretty close by so wasn't a hassle.

Room was a good size for a budget room. Bed was comfy. Room was clean.

The decor was dated, the shower tap handle was badly placed (kept bumping it and turning it to hot water).

Bed was very comfortable, good room fittings and bathroom although our room had the disabled shower and was quite messy to shower. Not sure if we were the last booked in and no other rooms. 2nd stay here in 12 months and is it preferred accom in Broken Hill.
