Green Gables Motel

The bed itself was very comfortable. The parking was very good - level surface, plenty of room. Off highway situation was quiet. The bathroom was recently tastefully renovated. Smaller but adequate sized room. Room had microwave, toaster, iron and mini ironing board. Very clean. New towels on second day.

The A/C was difficult to get going - perhaps flat batteries in remote - a less determined person would have given up and froze. A choice of two pillows, neither that I liked. An acrylic blanket that was like a sauna but warm. Fridge was noisy and ice compartment too small to hold our Esky bricks. The TV said Press "Source" for Foxtel but all I kept getting were doughy free to air TV. No new biscuits on second day. Towel needed a trim with scissors. The fridge, jug, bathroom fan and A/C together sounded like the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing "Star Wars"

Second time I stayed here. Price is a big determining factor, so I rated it highly on a cost benefit comparison. Not the cheapest available but the best for the price. Well situated if you have a car. Quite quiet off highway situation. Good spacious level parking. I managed to get Sky News via WIN. Not sure if real SkyNews was available.

I will take my own pillow next time as pillow not to my liking. The A/C dried me out and whilst turning off A/C etc I could hear person in next room xnooting. I soon went back to sleep, so reasonably sound proof. I will definitely consider the Green Gables for my next stay.

The rooms were spacious, and I love the fact that you had a decent sized fridge and microwave as well as hanging space, mirror and a table to sit down and have dinner. The bathroom is also really spacious.

The bed was actually not very comfortable, and given that you stay in a hotel to mainly sleep, I think it would be a good investment to replace your mattresses with something a little more comfortable.

This was a really lovely clean, well equipped and comfortable room that we really appreciated after 9 hrs travelling. The bed was the best we've slept in during our 5 weeks travelling so far. Big bathroom and good sized fridge. We arrived in Young late & it was an unexpected stop due to flooding so we took pot luck & booked here just as we arrived....and we were well rewarded with this great value motel with all we needed and super friendly staff. Thankyou

Convenient overnight stay breaking a long distance trip from Eildon to Sunshine Coast.

Nothing in particular,when we arrived the greeting wasn’t as warming as it could have been,having worked in hospitality for a number of years it would have been nice to see a smiling face on arrival after travelling for 10 hours. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and knowing how hard they work is commendable.

Level parking, cleanliness, ultra quiet in our room, great shower - no leaks etc. Bed was comfortable, very comfortable. Actually got SkyNews. Spacious room, room quite warm for comfortv

Button surround on toilet broken. Soft but huge synthetic pillows not comfortable. I actually bought a $32 pillow for the second night but purchase wasn’t 100% because of the pillow supplied. The A/C was set on 30 degrees but too small for the room size but enough to take the chill off the room.

It was easy check in and really friendly staff. As a smoker I appreciated a clearly designated smoking section. it was great that the property managers were watching the forecast and had an umbrella up & ready as it started raining for smokers! Very inclusive!

my room did have a weird smell which may have been coming from the drains?? my Mum & Dad stayed too and didn’t have this, it was likely just an anomaly.

My room stayed nice and toasty despite it being -7 degrees one morning and under 0 the other mornings. Plus with early morning work day starts, accessing in room breakfast and hot shower without any hiccups was appreciated on such icy mornings. It was also an easy walk to a variety of dinner options.

Good location and quiet. Close to shops good go a 1-2 night stay no hurry to come back agian.

Checking in the reception was so rude . If I wasn't tired I would of went elsewhere.. worse customer service.. young Indian lady..0/10. Would not even give me the wifi code saying it would cost extra...

Very clean and comfortable stay. I was able to easily organise a late arrival and everything went smoothly with the late night check in. I was close to shops and takeaway as I was only passing through town. Able to park very close to the room so moving luggage in and out was easy too especially when you are tired from a long drive down from Brisbane.
