Ten Dollar Town Motel

i m not sure if all rooms have been renovated, and from reading some of the other reviews the answer is probably “not really”, but I got room K3 and it was all brand new. it had a full size kitchen in it, bathroom was big and with a massive shower head (which is always nice). Bed was comfy, wifi was poor, but had netflix so, who cares! I was about to give a 8.5 but they slid in an electric blanket in the comfy double bed so…it s a 10 for me! such a nice and cozy stay!

breakfast could be improved. I don’t eat much in the am but it was very “basic”, even for me.

Great location in middle of town, super clean with crisp sheets, electric blanket and extra blankets. Price included breakfast at the cafe across the road and they made a great cup of coffee. Everyone was very pleasant and made us feel welcome.

It was a bit confusing on checkin as streets were blocked off for a street parade and it was a very busy weekend in town, they needed all hands on deck in the cafe. We didn’t know what to do with key on checkout (couldn’t find the 24 hour drop box) so left it in the room.

A very warm, comfortable and quiet room that was perfect for a cold winter's night. The room was equipped with a microwave and hot plate for preparing small meals and snacks which was perfect for my needs. Breakfast, with a nice selection of hot food or cereal was included in my room rate and was served at the cafe across the street. Parking was available outside my room.

Nothing to complain about. The owners were very friendly and focussed on being hospitable to their guests.

We arrived late in the evening and the owner was there waiting for us- He was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had nearly everything we needed (I drink green tea only) it was too late to bother him and we were leaving early in the morning, so it didnt worry me. The included breakfast with the price was lovley- and the large Cap coffee was freshly made with quality beans. The town is beautiful and we will be back as we didnt have a chance to explore 10/10

This is just a really good small country town motel. The owners were friendly, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower had plentiful water, and it was so quiet at night. All of this made for a really good overnight stay. Another thing that I particularly liked was that, in addition to aircon, the room also has a very effective ceiling fan. This meant that we could sleep at night with just the fan going, not the aircon - much appreciated. The breakfast the next morning was also very good - freshly made. The location of the motel makes it and Gulgong a very good base to explore the Mudgee region with a number of the Mudgee wineries less than 30min drive away. We would absolutely stay here again when next passing through.

Room was clean and large with cooking facilities, very quiet. breakfast was wonderful great eggs and beautifully cooked. we booked this room late after staying an extra day on our trip, we received a text letting us know the that the room was ready the number and how to get in after hours, great service. I will certainly be staying again.

Nothing not to like we were visiting the Mudgee area but were happy to stay here after the night earlier in Mudgee.

Very friendly and helpful staff , excellent rooms.....and plenty of hot water ......close to the pub ( just across the road )....The perfect location after a long day riding motorcycles....P.S The Breakfast included which was top quality......wouldn't stay anywhere else in Gulgong!

Very clean and comfortable basic room to be expected from the good value room rate. Friendly owner Trevor was helpful and a really good chap. Exceptional free breakfast at diner across the road with the friendliest staff. Good coffee and poached eggs done perfectly. Gulgong is an unexpectedly great destination. Small, quaint, filled with historic sights and grand old houses.

The room was wonderful. Actually had an oven and hot plate in it. Bed was really comfortable and the shower was excellent. Right in town so easy walk to hotel etc for dinner. Full breakfast was included in the price. Which you had in the cafe over the road.

Centre of town location so easy to walk to everything. Good room size with 'old style' small ensuite but everything was there. Great beds and pillows, electric blankets too, good thick, fluffy towels, lots of hot water and good heating. Breakfast was included which made it a very economical stay for the two of us. Hot breakfast cooked to order with great coffee. The best froth on a cappucino I have seen in a long time - go Di! Staff were friendly and the fireplaces in the dining rooms were terrific. Dinner available in the restaurant too with a good bar selection.

Wifi was not consistently strong but this is a problem in Gulgong, not just the motel. Could have had a second tub chair in the room so we could both sit comfortably to watch TV but this is a very minor thing. (I got the chair - he had the bed).
