The Horatio Motel Mudgee

The suites at Horatio are spacious and comfortable. The additional door to the sunny patio at the rear was appreciated. All room amenities were clean and well presented. The king bed was especially comfortable with good quality linen. The bathroom was quite large and the shower was excellent. Parking was easy and the motel is just a few blocks from the city area, restaurants, hotels, etc.

The bathroom fan activates with the light switch and is very noisy. Also the vanity basin, although modern, is very shallow and not really convenient to use.

The rooms are spacious with plenty of space to put things away. Bathrooms are well designed with lots of counter space to be able to unpack properly. All the amenities you could need including a kitchenette with microwave cutlery etc as well as a mini bar and tea and coffee. I've always found the rooms to be very private as well with minimal noise from the highway

The shower heads are quite small which can be difficult to properly rinse your hair but this is just a small thing. Visibility in the car park at night isn't the best.

Very spacious and clean. All 3 bedrooms and loungeroom have their own TV which catered for all occupants different viewing tastes. Good location with easy flat walk to Main Street shops. Retro bathroom with bath and shower made me nostalgic.

Toilet was in the bathroom which would have been a bit more inconvenient if we had a house full of people but not unexpected in a house of this age. Would have been nice to have laundry facilities.

Big room, basic kitchen with microwave. There was even a ground level balcony (no furniture). For our purposes this was good place as we just stayed for one night using the room from sunset time to leaving around 8 am. Our visit was in winter time, so sunset after half past 5pm. In summer time one could enjoy the pool.

The location is quite off from the center of the Mudgee. In practice not within reasonable walking from shops or restaurants

Room was clean and very well appointed with a beautiful little kitchenette. Bathroom was large with ample heating and lighting.

Shower was terrible at best, once the hot water flows you add cold to make it warm. This doesn't work because as you add cold it goes from boiling to cold. slowly turn the cold off to make it warm and without notice it goes to boiling hot again. I tried for 10 minutes to get warm water with no success. 10minutes of water just flowing down the drain. Water savers don't save water, they just remind me never to book there again. A cold shower was a nightmare after a hard day of work.

Very clean, lots of parking, large shower and plenty of hot water. Of special note: excellent lighting making reading anywhere, including in bed, a breeze - so rare to get good lighting in hotels/motels these days as mostly rooms are annoyingly dim. Weather was cold and damp outside during our stay but room was cosy all night - we left reverse-cycle heating on overnight. V comfortable bed, linens and towels. Generous assortment of toiletries.

kitchenette in our room was microwave only w no oven or cooktop but plentiful food options in Mudgee so not a problem for us.

The room was large, light and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were good - we liked the separate kitchen. My husband enjoyed the pool and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was a little cramped. I would have appreciated a hand-held shower head. The shower floor was rather slippery and when I pointed this out to the staff as we were leaving, I was told there should have been a non-slip mat in the bathroom. If it was there, I did not see it.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was quite large including the separate bathroom. Seating area was well placed and adequate. The room was quiet, clean and well set out. Kitchenette was handy to have and the dining table adequate. Located on a main road the room was still quiet.

Refused to take the NSW Accomodatiion voucher which was disappointing, defeats the purpose of the voucher. Bathroom window, although privacy glass, needs a blind of some description as it lets a lot of light in and lights up the main bedroom. The hotel is a little way away from town areas and not suitable for walking to hotels etc

My husband liked the big sofa. He had a nap or 2 on it. He loved the amount of electricity points. The bed was comfy.. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was veey clean. Easily accessible to the town centre. In amongst some lovely examples of vintage australian houses. A very enjoyable stsy. Annette and Ray Palmer from England.

Maybe a residents laundry so we could have done some washing. Thats all

The Horatio Motel Mudgee is located 5 minutes from the town centre, near the shops and cafe's. Friendly and helpful staff, informative and attentive. The room itself is quite generous in size, large ultra modern bathroom with large shower, floor to ceiling tiles, good water pressure and other amenities. TV in the room was huge, and had local FTA channels and also Foxtel. Great size balcony. Check in/out was a breeze. Ample free parking right outside your room. Plenty of storage for clothes. Decent dining and lounge areas. Kitchenette has everything you would need.

Nothing too serious - sliding bathroom door was frosted glass; not the best when using the bathroom at night while others were sleeping - switching on the light pretty much lit up most of the living area. No lock on the bathroom door (that we know of). Fantastic modern frameless glass shower was let down by standard shower rose (a nice shower rail would've suited the modern bathroom), good pressure though. Some passing traffic noise (trucks) as it was located on the main road.
