Hotel Schwärzler

The hotel is well maintained. Kudos to the house-keeping team. Breakfast was good but have to go very early otherwise you wouldn’t find a table. The e-charging station worked with Swiss Charge App. Very straight forward.

No laundry bag for dirty clothes. No amenities (shower cap, cotton buds/pads). No lotion. No coffee machine. No kettle. No complimentary coffee or tea or even bottled water. I booked 2 rooms and wanted our rooms to be next to each other or the nearest. I made a remark upon making my booking but very obvious it was overlooked. However, the check-in staff was kind enough to arrange 2 rooms next to each other for us. I received only a reply after checked in. Upon check out, I told and showed the staff that we had consumed 1 pack of chips and 1 pack of waffle from mini bar. We only realised he had wrongly charged us for other item (4.80€ vs 2.50€). Didn’t go back as we were short of time.

A very solid choice for a weekend of opera. The staff is accommodating, the space is clean and comfortable. With the free shuttle to and from the events, and a bar that awaits you for a nightcap, Schwarzler was a good choice. We rented the (free) bikes to go around town and enjoyed the breakfast. The only catch is the price for value, which is a bit on the high side.

First Impressions Last! From the Entry being Clean Bright Welcoming to the smiles on the personnel at the reception desk. Good information for the surrounding area plus gratis transportation from the Opera after the performance if necessary The Welcome Sekt was a very nice touch. You feel valued. The Breakfast Buffet was fresh with a huge selection of items. In addition the staff would ask if there's something else you wanted. Dinner was exquisite Traditional Austrian Kitchen! Wiener Schnitzel at its BEST. The Bartender made delightful cocktails and sitting outside in the evenings was a treat. I have found my mini getaway Spot.

Very nice clean and spacious modern room with a small balcony. Comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff, both at the reception and in the breakfast area were very helpful and friendly.

As we arrived late we had dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately it was not very good. Much too much salt on the vegetables and very small portions. Not really value for money

4 star hotel where rooms don't have iron and ironing board, where your bed have only one small pillow, bathroom door don't open wholy, so getting into shower is tricky side by toilet 🤣 funny huge door.

The place is absolutely new, in a perfect state. Nevertheless, the Hotel managed to combine both classical and modern, high-tech styles.

It is hard to tell, what can be not to like about this Hotel…I would say that I was expecting a slightly larger variety of foods for the breakfast buffet.

Nice place, but for that price I expect the room, especially the bathroom to be perfectly clean and it could have been better. But still a nice place to stay.

Everything. The hotel has a real Scandinavian chic feel and the room and facilities have a high quality feel about them. Similarly the staff are friendly and professional. The breakfast is fantastic.

Nothing.

The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was exceptional. A great stay in a quiet location just a 10-15 minute walk from the city center. Would stay again!

room was a bit old, not that new like in photos - maybe not renovated don’t like bath in a room and was too small :(
