Cambana Residence

The staff were really nice and very helpful with all our queries. The breakfast was great too.

There actually is a hot tub as a westerner would expect. There is a large tub on the balcony but without any jets and impossible to fill up with hot water because it uses the same hot water from a water heater which also supplies the shower. The hot water runs out after filling the tub to a few centimetres. So booking.com should remove this as a feature of the hotel. Also the ‘gym’ is very basic - 1 old bike and we had to ask them to fix the treadmill. It was eventually fixed on the 5th day of our stay.

Amazing value hotel in Siem Reap. Rooms were more like suites with separate living rooms and kitchens with hob and fridge, allowing us to cook some of our own meals as we were travelling on a budget. The bed was ENORMOUS and so comfortable compared to beds in Thailand. All of the staff were excellent allowing us to have the huge breakfast in our room each day and organising a brilliant guide for the Angkor temples for the day. Hotel is a short walk from the largest supermarket in Siem Reap and a 2 minute walk from the Giant Ibis bus station.

There were a few mosquitos around the dining area for breakfast, however the staff let us have breakfast as room service so this was not really an issue. As with the rest of Cambodia there were quite a lot of street dogs on the street outside the hotel.

Breakfast was delicious. Clean, well kept facilities on a quiet side road. Pool was nice. Great bathroom shower, with very hot water available. Staff polite and attentive. Check in very easy - and they provided fresh cool yummy juice for the arriving travelers. Short ride from airport (taxis easy to obtain on arrival, reasonably priced). New airport expected for 2024 which will be much further away from the city. Visited in rainy season, and had a mostly blue sky hot humid day, but sunrise and sunset still obscured by clouds. No need to get up at 4 am for a sunrise tour! Day tour is best.

The hotel room was extremely clean and spacious. We got a studio room on the ground floor with 'direct' access to the pool from our bedroom. The bathroom was also well lit, with a window and had a giant bathtub. The bed was very comfortable with very clean sheets. The staff were professional, courteous and very accommodating. I used the pool everyday, sometimes twice in a day. Also very clean, with beach towels available by the poolside. I'd highly recommend Cambana!

Absolutely nothing

Lovely property and amazing value for money in Siem Reap. Our room was nice and spacious, exactly as pictured if not nicer! The pool and breakfast area are also v nice for relaxing, although make sure to wear big spray. Breakfast was not bad and as a vegan they also had soy milk which was great (you just have to ask). Staff was lovely and it was great to be picked up from the bus station.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work well in the room so we had to go to the common areas if we needed it. The location is fine but you will need to get a tuktuk anytime you want to go into town and back so just keep that in mind. However they cost less than $2 each way so it isn’t really a problem.

Wonderful place to stay in Siem Reap! Rooms are lovely with a separate kitchen and living area, bedroom, balcony with a tub, and large bathroom. Excellent shower. Two televisions. So much space. Lovely pool area and breakfast space. Just idyllic. The staff greeted us all smiles and did everything during our stay to make us comfortable. Free pickup from the bus station, laundry service that actually got our clothes clean for the first time in Southeast Asia (worth the slightly higher price), fabulous breakfast buffet. We used their tuk-tuk driver all three days to visit temples and he was great. All in all, we loved our stay and highly recommend Cambana.

Location a bit far from the centre of town so you need to take a tuk-tuk every time you go out. Not a problem as it's never more than a couple of dollars, but be aware. Also, small thing, but the door to our room had a crack, which let mosquitoes in. Someone tried to stuff toilet paper in the crack but it probably needs to be repaired, or mosquito coils or nets should be provided. Oh, and our stovetop didn't work. This was really minor though.

This is a little pearl in Siem Reap. The place provides excellent accommodation for a reasonable price. They were extremely kind and provided all the support needed to plan our Angkor Wat experience (they arrange for you with the tuc tuc, for a set price, we were really lucky to meet Sao Kimsan, an excellent guide). They were far and beyond to accommodate to our needs and requests. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the pool after a very hot day, delicious!

It is hard to find something...They do not have ice cream which would have been a perfect dessert, but they did offer us to get some from a nearby place and they did have a good selection of fruits.

We loved everything about our stay here! We were greeted with refreshing cold towels and juice on arrival, the room was spotless and had excellent facilities and decor, we got free pickup from the airport and the hotel arranged our bike rentals and had them delivered to us. The staff is extremely nice and went above and beyond to have my ID returned to me after I left it at the hotel. The ID was literally delivered to me while I was sitting on my plane after boarding had finished! Incredible!

Everything was really great, only gripe we can come up with was the eggs were a little under cooked at breakfast!

The staff!!. The hospitality is too good. They will resolve your issues as soon as possible. We ordered fish and chips 6 times during our 5-day stay. It was that good. The staff greets you well and always replies with a smile which i think is really good.

There were some wifi issues in the beginning. I called the reception and they fixed in 30 mins. the location is a 10 min bike ride from the city centre which I think is good. For me, it's not a con tho.

we loved the welcome we got when we arrived but even better than this was the early checkin!! and I mean early as we arrived by overnight bus. all the staff went out of there way to help whenever you needed anything. the room was one of the most comfortable we have been in yet with a huge light modern bathroom, very large bed(so comfortable) and a tasty breakfast with eggs made in front of you any style you like. unfortunately for us we had pre booked another hotel when we were in the islands but came early so booked Cambana residence for one night, when we checked out and got to our new expensive hotel!!! we just wanted to come back to cambana residence but the new place was non refundable. They even arranged our Angkor wat trip for us and the price was so reasonable for booking through hotel, if we ever come back this is where we will stay for sure, 10/10 for value for money and far enough away from noise to get good sleep but close enough to to walk or short tuk tuk ride. well done Cambana residence, we travel extensively non stop for long periods of time and you managed to capture our hearts from just 1 night!!(1 and a half including early checkin)🙏
